Who am I? Why, I'm just a passing through Kamen Rider... Got it memorized?

This story is a sequel to A Talk With the Tree of Harmony

With the Tree of Harmony gone, the Map in Twilight's castle has gone dark and, despite her best attempts, Twilight is unable to reactivate the Map now that its source of power is gone.

Until one day, when her and her friend's cutie marks suddenly begin to glow with a slowly fading light, like a dwindling soul crying out for help...

I wonder how the Tree of Harmony was able to give its avatar a physical form?

Really liked the first story, so looking forward to seeing where this goes!

...Although, judging by what we currently know about Episode 3, you might want to get that AU tag ready...

She didn't. She called the Mane Six to do it for her.

How did she know a method they could use that would work? Magic.

I am personally of the opinion the spirit of tree wasn't killed. After all Twilight's castle is an extension of it and it's filled the caves under the school. Also the elemental gems have in the past not been needed to channel the elements of harmony.
All that said having the original tree destroyed and the gems smashed isn't a small thing. New elements will likely take hundreds of years to grow and losing the original tree is a traumatic injury!

Definitely liking the first chapter here, you certainly have me hooked to read more. :pinkiehappy:

Also, I didn't realize at first I had read your prequel to this already. :twilightsheepish:

That one was nice, too.

The Tree, reborn in a physical body. I can see all kinds of shenanigans coming from this. Living among the ponies it watched over will be strange to it. It'll probably hold no shortage of surprises, from the simple act of a filly asking "Could you please pass back the ball, Miss?" to figuring out how "food" works, repeatedly getting stuck philosophizing about the cycle of life and what all had to come together, from the seeds in the earth growing in the rays of the sun Celestia raised into the wheat which's grain would be ground into flour, the chicken that laid the unfertilized eggs and their willingness to part with them, to the honey made by bees in harmony with— "Just eat your cupcake!" :pinkiehappy:

Not only this, but the potential for character interaction is enormous. Just think of Celestia and the Tree talking for the first time. :pinkiegasp:

Starswirl - the Tree's father. The other Pillars, her other parents.

The Tree is practically Harmony incarnate - a lot of ponies (those knowing who she is anyway) would put a lot of stock in her opinion. :rainbowderp:

I could see Starlight having a tentative talk with the Tree, somewhat dancing around the subject of why she wants to talk to them; but the Tree already knows, and dispels her last remaining self-doubt.

The student 6 should be informed the Tree is alright; by now its death would be common knowledge around town, something they'd be pretty upset by. It'd be great for them to hear the Tree lives.

Possibly other ponies that one wouldn't expect might sneak in to talk, like Trixie, or, say, Tempest Shadow (if she's around).

Discord would probably be interesting as well. I bet he'd gloating smugly. (He didn't even seem concerned about the Tree after Sombra shattered it!! :twilightoops:) Right until the Tree brings up Fluttershy. :raritywink:

And how does the Tree react to those who disrespect its principles, but are no mayor threat to Equestria? A market vendor selling overpriced cherries to less self-confident customers, or, say, the Flim Flam brothers. All the little injustices... now happening right in front of them; and yet, she has little power of her own now — and must abide by the law made by ponies. (It'd certainly be incredibly awkward if the embodiment of Harmony was arrested!! :twilightoops: )

On the flip side of the coin — the Tree has a voice now. Though it'd probably take some time before she found the right way of using it towards those uncaring, or unwilling to listen. :derpyderp1:

There is so much potential in this! :pinkiehappy:

PS: Since fimfiction doesn't notify people of sequels (something that irks me as both a reader and writer), I'd suggest making a blog-post and tagging the prequel in it to inform those who fav'd it of the sequel.

Oh please continue this !!

I concur. There is a lot of potential here, and this is still different enough to make sense as a story.

Even though the most recent episode kinda broke/solved this issue of a dying tree, I would still like to see where the writer can take this story.

I wonder where it could arc to.

Joining the petition to continue this. More Treelight stories. I must have them!

Hmm..... Tree of Harmony in danger? ……. Whoever responsible for this is gonna bucked.

In the face.

Repeatedly.

If my theory is correct. *nods with finality*

... meet harmony, the spirit of balance and friendship

9560825
It made a castle, I think it can make a body, if it had enough magic

Is this story abandoned? Please don't leave us hanging for another year.

Hey i see you are going a bit behind also i wanting to do a fan fic like yours you think we can talk to each other

why is this cancelled?

The mass/matter had to come from somewhere, and creating a body from other material on the spot like that probably took every last ounce of magic the tree had left.
