sounds like an interesting idea

Sigh, let me first say that I honestly like this story and I do not mean to be offensive in any way, but I'm not going to lie, every time an update shows up and I see the cover art I completely forget that. I hate the cover art with a passion. I would suggest switching back to the original one until you can get someone to draw one for you that's more.... animated? professional? less like something drawn by a gifted six-year-old?
Though if the cover art in its current appearance reflects something about or is tied into the story in some significant way I can understand your choice, even if I despise the art style itself if that's what you would call it.

I'll take that as constructive criticism. It doesn't detract from anything to switch it back to the original.

EDIT: Trying a different image of a Pearlwort bloom.

Thanks for the catch. Writing and editing on a cell causes a great deal of issues. I review a chapter and later find three things I missed. Wouldn't be surprised if I ended up causing errors when doing edits, with how awkward it is navigating the text editor on a four inch screen.

Hmm i going to guess that Biblo's mark means she is good as socking up info or something like that

8568733
Information, personality traits, skills, and desires. Copying them into herself. She is like Rogue from X-Men without putting ponies she touches into comas

I just noticed the tragedy a really hope this doesn't go with a all of the characters we love but one dieing on us

Ok, i like the new cover art, the green and grey background give off a FoE vibe, that just draws me in.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

"I would assume that is what a Pearlwort looks like," Bloom replied. "We need a need a botany book."

I think that need a new botany book

thanks, caught and corrected replicate phrase.

When does the rape take place, and is it female on male?

Rape is way back at the end of chapter 6, it is male on female.

You know, i don't get why you write "Hallow Shades" when everyone else writes it "Hollow Shades"

Is it an error or is it deliberate? just checking

Time changes names of many places over time. Some subtly others more dramatically, with a few maintaining names. Hallow Shades is how I want to present it here.

"We were talking about your hugs. I was wondering if how much you felt, other than besides my magic. Hot Sticks, had said Crystal Ponies with a changeling parent could pick up more detailed information about a point's thoughts and feelings."

Maybe you mean ponies there...

I don't like not at least having answers about what happened. It is bad enough that we seem to have failed to save our town, but we still don't know what even happened. To be honest, it has been l causing me to cry in private." His final admission was said quietly.

How come no one has caught this errant letter before me pointing it out to you?

"You can call me Sunset for short if you want. I would like to see where we are currently at with you. Think the best way to start is the same as any other pony, on the obstacle course. No using your wings though, we will work out them seperately, for right now I just want to work out the rest of your body. I don't expect you to do it well yet, I just want to see you putting full effort into it.

This word is often spelled wrong with the e in place of a. It is supposed to be like this: separately

This is something Pearl has to get through on her own. Take solice in the fact that after this trial is done you will be able to take away the terrible memory of that rape, and that this trial will be the last time she has to experience that particular memory.

That'd be "solace"

Story definitely needs a strong editor pass. I write everything on a phone so that leads to some interesting errors at times.

My stories just ever seem to garner much for comments, never clear why. Like, I see people reading, and have a number tracking, yet I get very little comments.

On a phone? Hot dam! I feel sorry having to type out all this on a phone. I get cramps in my hands just writing on a computer!

8894050
Yes, all my stories are typed out on a phone, I might make an occasional editing pass on the computer at work, but 99% of the work is done on phone.

8894058 if you’re still liking I can offer my editing services if you’d like ^^. If you’re interested let me know

Awesome story I don't like the ending just for the fact that I wanted pearl and mera to be together forever

Feel free to read the sequel in progress. Ponies of Ocid. Mera makes a comeback, though I have to warn the tone is far darker.

I'll give it a read later. Keep up the good work

Because the deed is never actually described only mentioned.

oh, it just hit me: "Starlight's Folly"-is it "Equal town"?

The Crusaders all looked to one another and as a chorus spoke. "Did you go get Pinkie?" They asked each other all at once. They then went a little wide eyed and shook their heads resignedly, with mutters among them about not questioning it.

yep, good old Pinkie, unpredictable as ever! :pinkiehappy:

"There is a Thestrals technique for writing I have seen involving dipping the ends of one of the fingers of your wing in ink and writing with that," Hot Sticks explained. "Thestrals wings are much more dexterous than Pegasus wings, and it has always surprised me that not many of you make more use of that. Thestrals seem to make less use if their wings than Pegasi do, when it seems they should make make more. They are essentially just big webbed hands."

this reminds me of several stories where Pegasai and Thestrals used a type of weapon called "wingblades"...

"This feels like a really bad idea," I replied back again, my resolve starting to break. I was such a doormat, and this time being a doormat might put lots of ponies in peril.

reminds me of several times fans called Fluttershy a doormat... :fluttercry:

"Well, don't try to get involved with any more stallions. It isn't right trying to force yourself into a relationship that won't make you happy," Mera told the Unicorn. "It wouldn't be fair to you daughter or any future foals to have a loveless marriage. Plus there are temporary enchantments that can cause you to have foals with another mare, I don't know why getting with a stallion has to be done, not when there are alternative methods of having foals."

i remember one story where they said that the spell for letting two mares have a child had a side effect: the child would always be female! and that's why Equestria was 80% female in that story...
"A mark of appeal", by Estee.

I woke with a start in the dead of night. It was one of those moments when you feel like you have woken from a nightmare, but are still in it, a night terror I think they were called. It could also have just been a panic attack in my sleep. I hadn't had one in years, but I was certainly under a great deal of stress so it was possible.

this made me think of the online comic "Tales of the Questor": someone with magic who had a nightmare could accidentally make illusions of it, frightening other people nearby! they called those night terrors.

wow, this got really weird really fast...and how could this be Pearl's fault, like the initial description implied?

9110518
Have to get to the finale, won't end like you think.

Is the Twilight Princess actually Twilight Sparkle?

The first thing you noticed was the Great Tree. There was no failing to notice the Great Tree. It was massive beyond any other structure ever crafted, or forged by magic. It stood as high as a mountain. From it's trunk spread massive branches that extended out extremely far, and were so massive everything you knew of physics said they should fall to the ground and shatter the ground thousands of pony lengths below. The whole thing was a bright crystalline white. This tree was crystal not a thing of plant matter, but somehow it seemed more alive than any other tree ever was. Against all reason and defiant against reality the thing cast no shadow. It was the most real and unreal thing all at once.

Could it be that this tree is the Tree of Harmony, just grown to a massive size?

Ok, what the hell happened in Equestria over the years? Why are the ponies acting like racists to Pearl? Why is does the Lunar Guard rape her?

What happened with the Harmony and the magic of friendship in Equestria?

Great story!
I kind suspended the main villian in the beginning but it was well worth the read!

On to the sequel!

I passed her the books, which she promptly put into her life pack. We continued through looking through the gifts. Most the Alicorns gave us gifts reflective of what they were the Alicorn of and most of it was pretty useless. There were some interesting gifts here and there though. Water Shadow gave us fishing poles and supplies, Meadowbrook had given us samplings of various other things that we could put in our pipes, Rockhoof had given us some unmarked chain-mail armor, Sunset had given us paints and paintbrushes, we were given new dresses from both Rarity and Rainbow Dash, an dragon flame lamp from Twilight, Pinkie Pie gave us some scarves, Celestia got us bananas of all things, Luna gave us Pearlwort seeds, while Starlight gave us kites, jewelry was common, and there were many other books that reflected subjects their presenter put a lot of value in.

Seven years after moving to Crystal Heart

Considering the titles of these chapters, this is where the "slice of life" style ends, right?

8918986
The sequel is password protected tho....:fluttercry:

Hee, fish breath kisses. Cuuuuuute!

To heal can be traumatic, as much as what caused the pain in the first place. But to heal is important and necessary if one is to move past whatever pain was originally felt.
