It is a long time coming, but Pearlwort, Unintentional Villain is now complete. The final chapter is fairly long, and that was with me cutting a large amount out of it.

It has taken a while but I finished writing the final chapter of Pearlwort, Unintentional Villain. Final chapter is over 14,000 words even after cutting out large sections that felt unneeded. It is now with my editor and will hopefully be posted up sometime next week.

This is my first large multichapter story completed. I learned a lot writing this one, and hope to apply those lessons to future works.

Ponies of Ocid will still be continuing with regular updates on time. I am currently working on chapter 21 of that and tomorrow's update is chapter 8, so there is still a huge buffer of content with two chapters releasing a week.

Pearlwort, Unintentional Villain update is delayed because this is the final chapter and it is going to be one of the longest if not the longest chapter of the story. There is a lot to cover and wrap up in this one chapter. Actually am considering writing up three different versions of the final chapter and testing them out to pre-readers.

Currently about 5000 words of it is written and it feels maybe a third done.

After looking over things I have decided that I am going to have the next chapter of Pearlwort, Unintentional Villain be the final chapter. It will likely be delayed on the update, as it is going to be a much longer chapter titled "The End (The Big Lie)". Will give progress updates on that as I can.

Pearlwort, Unintentional Villain is updated for this week with a short chapter. Things are drawing near the end, with just two chapters left. I am doing some editing passes to clean up previous chapters and am still in progress with that. The Seven Years of Happiness chapters are my next target for edits. While this chapter is short it has some major revelations not only for this story, but for Ponies of Ocid as well.

Have the next chapter for Friday ready to go. I expect next week's chapter will get back to normal length. There isn't much left, this week's chapter and two more after that. Still debating an afterward/epilogue to this as well.

It was close, but managed to get the Pearlwort, Unintentional Villain update done in time for it's normal update time. It was a bit rushed and I didn't get time to get a full review of it, so expect some errors.

Another update to Pearlwort. The next few chapters are going to be shorter than average despite more events happening in the story. This is a side effect of the biographical nature of the story narrative. A lot is going to happen very quickly to our narrator, and she is going to have a hard time processing it all. Sitting down to finish a chapter in Pearlwort. The unofficial sequel to that story, Ponies of Ocid, has about 90,000 words written and unpublished, so need to get to wrapping up Pearlwort, Unintentional Villain.

Been hard writing both because they are in two different styles. Been trying not to accidently bleed the style of one into the other.

With the updates of the site tagging system I have re-tagged Pearlwort to better reflect the possible trigger warnings. Removed the Dark Tag to fit the new tags.

Remember the original plot? It has been on the back-burner for a while, but it is back again. And first hints of how we tie to the story description as well, in the latest chapter.

Well, first major arc (of three) is done for Pearlwort, Unintentional Villain. Now that we can move on from Harmony. I know the adventure tag seems misleading at the moment, but there still a lot of story to go through, and by the middle of the second arc the action should start picking up dramatically.

100,000 words, that is a lot of writing. I know there are plenty of authors who write stories that long all the time, but the majority of my other stories are one shots or two chapter affairs.

Pearlwort had its highest daily views ever today (and climbing). I am happy, but confused. I didn't release any new content today, so the timing seems very odd. I should get less views on days there is no new content, not set new records for high views. I'll take it, but will be scratching my head in confusion the whole time.
