I say that this Spike is a fake and that the real Spike will be revived by the crystal heart at a later time. A sort of removal of the dark taint but that dark taint has been given form.
7370413 Yeah, magical resurrection usually doesn't turn out how you hope it will. Hell, even if they brought his soul back as well, you couldn't exactly call Spike's soul the purest thing in the world, considering all the utterly fucked up things he did.
Now the real question is, does Dark Spike want to carry on the ideology of the caribou or does he just want to kill everything?

I wasn't expecting it to be so suspenseful, the anticipation was intense. I am again amazed at your ability, I have a dire feeling that this sequel will bring more tears than the last.

Gave this a quick glance. Unfortunately, I don't think I can go on with the Spike featured—and I'm not talking about the corrupted one, I'm talking about the bloody slaughterer. It's too much for me.
Please don't see this as a personal attack, though. Others love this type of character, but I can't help myself but hate him. Really raelly hate him. That's always going to hang over my head while I read and distract me from what's happening. Already I didn't want them to bring him back at all, and if that's going to be the case all the time... Well. Better not read on at all.
Wish you best of luck regardless. Don't ever stop writing just because someone like me found something they couldn't deal with. Writing is always in part for yourself.

I had a bad feeling all chapter that grew and grew as I read. They had to go and try to bring him back. Those idiots those fricken idiots. What they did was no different from necromancy; it's just like when edward elric tried to revive his mom. They turn Spike into everything he fought against during tue fall and rise. They dun FUCKED IT UP.
And now it's time to kill Spike.
If Spike does not revived like Goku from DBZ
or
revives self to kill the taken body
if it does neither tell me now so I can stop wasting my time.

So which part of the resurrection was the part where it went wrong I think it was either the leftover body parts or the Crystal heart but I find the later unlikely.

Words can't describe the emotions that I feel conflicting in my head to bring forth such a ironic story right from the get go is just here I can word it like you took the story and everyones hopes and dreams that they were trying to make and turned it all against the making it instantaneously evil and shoving it right in their faces you couldn't you can't make this s*** up well you can but damn way the way you did it was like going past pouring salt on the wounds and rubbing it you like you made the world you put salt on it do you mix some lemon juice in it and you f****** put a scrubber and just started going to town on that s*** like damn I can't wait for the next chapter but a damn

So basically spike was resurrected with I guess the horned King and maybe sombras soul in him? I do like this story thanks for writing it. Normally I avoid any story that is set in the fall of equestria, but yours is an exception.
So wait are they boned?
1st rule of necromancy: Never attempt to bring the dead back to life from a long time of rest.
2nd rule of necromancy: Never attempt to bring a soul back from a small fragment.
3rd rule of necromancy: Never bring back the dead that have a harrowing past.
4th rule of necromancy: Make sure you can quickly kill off your mistake before it can run rampant.
5th rule of necromancy: Make sure nothing is clinging onto the soul you are trying to bring back so your resurrection attempt is stable.
6th rule of necromancy: Make sure you are a proficient Necromancer before attempting a resurrection.
They all have fucked up on all the rules.
So... spike is filled with the curse and it's being used like a compass I'm guessing.. And he won't hesitate to kill anyone that gets in his way??

Oh when is the next chapter! This was great! The mention of Sunrise Splendour threw me for a loop but it was nice to see Rarity get a tad bit if revenge on one if her former tormentors.
