The Psychopath

My very first (self-published) book can be found on Amazon Kindle for 5 or 12 paperback! If you love dragons, give it a look! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CSM7QQ2M

Sequels1

T

The story will never truly be finished because I'll keep adding monsters to it, but I keep the 'complete' tag for peace of mind.
Twilight, after pleading by Cheerilee, goes to the school of Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle in order to teach the children there about what creatures they should never face. Regardless of how she explains it, the children almost have a heart attack.

Later down the line, she discovers an old booklet by a hunter named 'Spiral Tooth' and goes through their rather 'colorful' descriptions of the monsters they've encountered with Spike.

That Pic was done by Samaru163

This is basically just a bestiary of things that pass through my head that I might use in a book or for a story here at a later date.

Dun dun dunnn!!
I loved this story... did you think of all these monsters on your own?

Also you mentioned that one of them looked like a humanoid... how would the ponies know what a humanoid was?
Still a great story and well worth the read. :pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy:

621110 That was just my way of easying up the idea of what it looked like. The ponies did not say it themselves.

621114 Ohhhh... You coulda said something like "bipedal primate type creature" except not say it horribly like I just did. lol

621120 That's why I used "humanoid". And yes. I did think of the creatures on my own...on the spot. Except for the Ivamora. That was has existed since my first story.

621127 Damn fine work! I hope to see more of your bestiary!:moustache:

625645 Then it shall be done...if more ask for it (trololol:trollestia:).

621110 Maybe it's a shoutout to G1.

I like shoutouts to the older series. It only proves that you cant forget where you came from, and in this case, g1. G1 wasnt a bad series either, it was pretty fucking awesome.

625692 It is? I knew that there were humans in the first one, but I never watched it, and never will. Besides, the ponies aren't the ones who described it. I did, and I used "humanoid" to simplify the description. I wasn't going to say "It had primate features." That would make it seem more hairy than anything else.:rainbowlaugh:

625703 Exactly. It may not have been on PURPOSE, but "Humanoid" was definitely a callback in my opinion.

G1 was actually pretty rad in terms of story. I mean, it was the first time we ever heard of Tirek, Who was a Centaur, who wished to enslave ponies. He would take six of them to make his "Chariot of Darkness" Function, as he would try to tackle Early Equestria (Otherwise known as Ponyland in G1). He had a few special Items that actually hinted on "The Elements of Harmony". So we can thank G1 for being there for some of Lauren's Ideas, especially one of Rainbow Dash's looks, and personality.

Firefly, her favorite Pony, was actually in G1 as a Main Character. Moon Dancer, one of the ponies that wasnt seen, but heard about in the pilot for FIM, was also a pony that sprang from G1. Spike was actually A Dragon that was separated from his kind. He was picked up by the ponies out of sympathy, and was treated as a family member.

There's quite alot of throwbacks in the show itself, as well as Fanfics, even though they really dont pick it up the first time. I mean, hell, Look at my Fic. I throwback to G1 alot, to remind G4-only lovers that Hey, the Classic Cartoon was just as action packed as G4 is today.

My bottom point is, even if it doesnt SOUND interesting, G1 is still something not to snuff at. It's the Backbone of the Brony Society.

And Me? Well, I was a Brony Since G1, so I was a Brony before it went Mainstream.

625737 I never said that I hated it though. Just in-case you thought that. I just prefer to have G4 as the only known variant in my head.

625741 Nah, never said you did. Just pointing out why G1 can still have an effect on ppl, even if they dont know it. XD

Maybe it was how I worded it, but yes, I never said you hated it. Didnt mean for it to sound like that.

625754 It didn't. Just in-case it was in the back of your head.:trixieshiftleft:

625692 I watched an episode and absolutely hated it. lol.

No offense but everything about G1 was horrid. The animation (though they didn't have the tech to improve it), the looks of the ponies, or the plot (No.. not that kind of plot.)

626310 aaaaand this is when I say "You were spoiled by G4, and is trying to compare it to something older."

Seriously, the problem with bronies of today, is they dont like to look back when I was a lad, and actually try to find something they enjoyed.

Again, look at my little rant, No here, I'll do the work for you!

There you go, Sir/madam. My little rant. (No pun intended). My main point here is, even if you're spoiled by G4, G1 still has quite alot of shoutouts you probably werent aware of, and that G1, which I grew up on, is still a major part of Brony Culture.

Not tryin' to be a dick, but ppl should respect G1. It did alot for you.

The next day, Cheerilee rode into town on a Gigantis Vesuvius Vulcan shouting "THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU PRANK CHEERILEE BEEEYETCCHHH!!!!"

626328 I'm sorry but I still don't like it. I remember catching glimpses of the show when I was a little kid but I never got into it. I was too into scooby doo :rainbowlaugh:
By the way you totally wrote that pun on purpose. :ajsmug:

I also respect G1 for what they did but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Like I respect the old doctor who series but that doesn't mean that I have to like them either... but I do. I love the old doctor who seasons.

626386 The intention of that rant was to at least get you to respect your roots. :ajbemused:

do you know of the creature known as the Morv? (if you do, I'll be very surprised)

626797 the Morv is a creature that I have created.
The morf is a predatory species in the animal class, and is yet to be furthered classed. It is a man-sized being with larid (lair-id) claws and teeth, which is 5 times stronger than the human known diamond. Its white hide is also 5 times stronger than the human known strongest hide. It has an elongated mouth with 3-inch long teeth. It has cross-like eyes. It has four black two-feet long claws on each hand that can shatter diamonds with ease. When it stabs an unfortunate victim, if it hit a bone it cuts clean through or shatters the bone, depending on the angle. It can also fly, even though it seems that it is aerodynamically impossible. Scientist have yet to figure it out. Relatively speaking very little is known about the morvs. Dead specimens to dissect is very costly (both in money and men), and live specimens are almost impossible (even most of them somehow escape captivity). We do not know how they reproduce (we canā€™t even find the reproductive organs). We do not know whether they have different genders. What we do know is they have some organ that would have the resemblance of a heart, lungs, a circulation system, a respiratory system, and a digestive system (but we do not know how it gets rid of its waste). The place they call home is called a hive. We have never actually been inside a hive, though we have been close but at that point the casualties are so high we need to retreat. The morf makes a shrill shriek (sura-sura-SURAAK, or LUUAAK) before, during, and after the attack. It also makes it when it is dying. There are two types of morvs; the regular morf which relies on instinct, and the red-eyed morf which has an intelligence of a human. Both are identical except that the red-eyed morf eyes are red crosses instead of black. The reason we call them morph (or morvs) is that they can transform into any animal in about 3 seconds. The only way you can identify a morf in a transformed state is that instead of a round pupil, its pupil is crossed shaped. By the time you realize that it is a morf, it has already transformed back. Strangely, only red-eyed morvs seem to do this. We think the regular morvs can also do this, but maybe since they rely on instinct, they donā€™t realize how useful it is. Luckily, red-eye morvs canā€™t manifest weapons, so they usually raid armories. Morvs also eat their dead. Speaking of dead morvs, unless you have an army, donā€™t take dead morvs from the battle field. If you skin it, take itā€™s claw, or do anything to the dead morf, red-eyed morvs see that as an insult to them. They will hunt you down
Killing a morf.
To counter their strength, we have constructed weapons made out of a special metal. The metal is called sirek (ser-rik). The metal is similar to what humans call silver, by having the same molecular structure, but with two key factors: it is very strong, and it is the only known metal, to both human and Galien, to actually pierce the hide of a morf. Unfortunately it can only slay morvs. If you shoot a sirek-tipped arrow another being besides a morf, it will do no harm whatsoever. The easiest way to kill a morf is to shoot a sirek-tipped arrow at both the eyes to blind it. (be warned, even when a morf is blind it is still a dangerous beast. It can still swing its claws wildly) Then move in for the kill. Stay behind it to lower the risk of being killed and hack away.
Morf tactics.

Usually if you see just one morf, it is probably a scout. Then the scout reports to the hive which consists of 100 morvs. (although red-eyed morfs have been known to have a hive-population of 1000. This may be due to the intelligence of having strength in numbers.) Then the morvs come in force. When they are in big buildings (like stores) they sometimes seen hanging from the ceiling by their claws. Then they sometimes move like earth monkeys that swing from vine to vine, but in this case they use their claws to puncture the ceiling and move. They are also known to climb up the walls of buildings using their claws.

sorry if there is any spelling or grammer mistakes(I know some of you guys are picky when it comes to it. I personaly don't see much of a difference, as long as the story is readable. I'm blabering now, aren't I?)

the Geradin reminds me of of a Heartless in Kingdom Hearts.

626835 Sounds cool. A bit over-powered, but, then again, the dragons inhabiting the Dragonrealm are also over-powered by other world standards. (Yes. The Silver Dragon was my first ever imagined creature. Still trying to tune him out for being able to go in other worlds without the Gary-Stu arker from flashing off. Otherwise, I've made quite the complete world of the Dragonrealm).

626394 I respect G1, even though I do not like it.

626936 And you sir have MY respect for at least being considerate.

626962 considerate is my middle name. Well, actually it's Twinkletoes, but you get my drift. ;)

More!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!X10000= A lot of pure consumer reconciliation.

you shoud use for the next chapter the dangerest creature known in history.

THE HUMAN:

this species destroys evryting on thier planet and in the entire universe
---
just kidding but it will be still fun when you make a little excuse on Humens or donĀ“t?

Can you get pictures of these creatures? I am quite curious to see what they look like.

Once again, I am tempted to see a drawing of these dangerous creatures, though I can kinda picture the clothling. I would like to see one that always commits seppukku(how do you spell it?) on it's prey and slurps it's intestines out like noodles, and continues to eat it's internal organs, turning the prey inside out in the process. Then it morphs to fit in the skin and uses it as a disguise to kill more of the prey's species and get great meals. :pinkiecrazy:

629221Making pictures? I'd have to ask someone seeing as I can't draw, and then again, it wouldn't look precisely as I'd want it to.:ajsleepy:

629647I bet Stalin can make it happen, I bet! :fluttershyouch:(I need a winking emoticon that isn't Rarity!)

631830 Glad you liked it. As long as I'm in the mood (and until my exams are over...damn school) I'll be updating this instead of "Reaching the dark side of the moon".:applecry:

631864 I'm making another chapter, but my mind is kinda weak right now, so don't expect heaps of good monsters.

I wonder if Humans will be in this book unless your only doing original creatures or dont view humans as bad as these guys/girls.

632541 Humans as bad? Meh. No. I don't care about people. I'm only doing original "monsters" so you won't be seeing them.

First and Yaaay! great chapter ^^

The vesuvius reminded me of the ceaseless discharge from dark souls.

This bestiary is pretty awesome, keep making more.

653535 Go ahead. The monsters are there for that.

"They can only be scared away by using a white filly with a singing voice."

Nooo, that's not a possible foreshadowing of an event at all.

Now THIS is awesome. I hardly ever come across bestiaries that are intersting, let alone one put into/as a story! Keep this up. From what I've seen, creativety in monster designs have been dry in places. I could be wrong though.....Let me know if I am!

3884378 What area in particular do you want me to make monsters in? Golems, demons, desert monsters, tundra monsters, spirits, ect...?

3884473 Hmmmm....Monsters. Monsters fabled for their speed, strength, durability, intelligence, etc. A one true trait that seperates it from the rest and overwhelms the most with said trait. Monsters that are feared no matter what. Monsters of Legend, if I may put it.
Maybe a miscellaneous monster category? Monsters with different, unusually weird abilities that are either harmless or lethal. Like monsters from SCP: Containment Breach. Not saying you should take a monster out of there though, but create one like you've been doing. Me and a buddy made a monster that we think should be an SCP, I still remember what it does if you'd like to include it.
