It would be so easy to throw Twilight off in an anthro mlp world as NMM. Just do what Xante does when facing heroes, start stripping at random.
I don't that has been tried yet against the Mane 6 and would undoubtably be hilarious.
Has Artemis gone insane? After a thousand years of loneliness on the moon, I know I would. It's the only reason that I can think of that explains why she's acting the part. A thousand years is too long to just want to play the villain and not just explain your situation peacefully when you get free so you could get a chance go home.

...I really have a lot of issues with the execution of this fic. The intro is rushed as hell and gives us no insight into your character whatsoever. Furthermore, your character does not display any reasonable surprise about suddenly finding herself a horse goddess on the moon, genre-savviness or not, nor any other affect than annoyance at being trapped on the moon for a thousand years (which is a span of time pretty incomprehensible to the average human teenager). I haven't got any inherent problems with the anthro, but the way your character narrates/observes it feels unnatural (again, lack of surprise, though not as much is needed as the 'oh god I turned into a horse goddess'), and the focus on sexuality (noticing giant breasts immediately, random pony going 'hey our new conqueror/boogeymare is pretty hot') feels pretty awkward and uncomfortable. And that's all without knowing why the protagonist feels the need to play the Nightmare Moon part, since if she's a fan of the show, surely she knows where that path's going to lead.
Lastly... minor nitpick, but Nightmare Moon doesn't wear a crown. She has a helmet.
It's a cool premise to have NMM be separate from Luna, Displaced or not, but the execution here needs a lot of work.

It's some what consequence free... She knows the elements will "purify" her soul, cure any mental problems from the 1000 moon trip and free celestia. So as long as she doesnt actually hurt some one why not go play?

I am interested in where this will go. I love any great story featuring Nightmare Moon as a protagonist, or just a major character in the story. Aswell as a antagonist. Human turned Nightmare moon, i am okay with where this is going. I hope the chapters will be a bit longer in the future though and that you have more build up. But it is a promising start. Liked, faved, and tracked. Hope to see more soon. Go Artemis, show them what the nightmare can do combined with the cleverness and wits of a human.
The sad part is, with how this is going so far, I can picture Sombra, who is another displaced, booting down the door to Canterlot Castle, shouting, "I'm back, bitches!"

Interesting concept, poor execution. Okay she ended up as Nightmare Moon on an anthro version of Equestria. No big freak outs and no sign of the actual NMM that was banished. ANd she just went into being even girl. Not needed, espeically when the fact both sisters are still around there's no need for Twilight to be Element of Magic for they would still work for the sisters.

6523112 I'd say continue this, it has captured my attention and very few displaced fanfics are able to do that, just please don't do one thing. Please don't put this in the Nightmare Fuel universe. Just look it up in the displaced group and you'll see what I mean. Those fanfics aren't really my cup of tea, and they confuse me to no end.

6523188 Thank you. The reason this has my attention is I've only read 2 other fanfics like this called Of Bat and Shy: A Tale of Twins and Chaos is Displaced: The Tale of Loki. The reason I say "like this" is because I have seen few displaced fanfics where someone goes to bronycon and is sent to equestria as their costume.
