OK. Might be interesting. Too early to tell. Some thoughts though:
Twilight is ali-/unicorn. She is good at teleporting. So far backstory doesn't provide explanation why she didn't teleport from falling.
If Tia is not plotting anything, she is too stupid to live. If Twilight was going to murder her/her sister, then punishment doesn't fit the crime. Executing her or sentencing her to life is better. Celestia basically said "Twi, remember last time you and your friends tried to kill me? How about you try it once again? Byebye, happy sabotaging."
(Especially true if enemy forces are changelings or other nation not ruled by Celly, and who will be happily to have their ally alive)

4020038 Its my opinion, but it seemed the court room was rushed from when twilight entered the room, a little more emotion could be added to the characters ie, shining could of had a description of betrayal, disgust and dis-ownership from twilight refusing to wanting to be her brother. Just an idea to give more emotion to the story
