con·struct: an artificial being created using forbidden magic. Only recently deemed legal by the Equestrian Council in aid of the ongoing conflict against the griffon nation. See: Abomination, Synthetic Pony, Fakie. Related: blood magic, dark magic. Associated subjects: Blue Lace Agate, Ilium. "Equestria's only hope lies in creating new magic that is powerful enough to keep up with the griffon technological advances; constructs will fill that need." - Equestrian Council Meeting notes.
Centuries in the future, Ponyville rises as a grand city of gleaming chrome and neon ... but every city has a seedy underbelly. When ponykind finds their magic outpaced by griffon technological advances, they need something to turn the tide, and thus consider the taboo. They revive blood magic, a forbidden ancient blend of unicorn magic and alchemy that combines organic materials with magic to create new life, in the hopes it will stem the tide of griffon expansion. But will that safety cost them everything?
Blue Lace Agate is one of those new lives, and he has a mission: to protect his creator. But is everything what it seems in the brutal Ponyville landscape?
In the world of My Little Pony collectors, 'fakie' is a catch-all term commonly used for plastic horse toy knockoffs created by non-Hasbro companies. Fakies can vary from extremely-similar to wildly-different in comparison to official Hasbro toys. Some even use stolen molds from official MLP toys! Some seek to be copies, while some companies create something very different yet similar. I thought it would be fun to consider how a fakie toy might exist in the world of "real" My Little Ponies.
