Sugar Crush has been working at the Crystal Empire's bakery ever since she had the chance to arrive at the ancient kingdom. Thanks to the crystal ponies and their accepting nature, the thestral found it very easy on fitting in. To compensate for their kindness, Sugar Crush made an active effort to give every customer she had a hug. And with every hug she gave a customer, a free small item came their way.

But one bright afternoon made everything she did change. One customer named Mineral Water refused her hug and free item, prompting Sugar to make the endeavor on giving the resistant crystal pony a simple sign of affection. Little did Sugar know her pursuit would lead into a much bigger picture than she realized.

Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, or simply Princess Cadance, discovers that something else has returned with the Crystal Empire, an ancient enemy once feared by all bound within a crystal prison, secured away in one of Sombra's many hidden laboratories.

Will Princess Cadance have the heart to face this enemy from the past and do what is right? Or will even love be powerless against such a foe?

Berryshine is a simple mare from a simple town, and she has a simple wish.

Just one little holiday to recharge the old batteries, a nice, relaxing trip to someplace new, like maybe a reindeer town. Unfortunately, a 'minor' mishap up North means her train is commandeered for Shining Armour and Cadence's royal mission... with Berryshine still on it.
