After a gruesome timberwolf attack, Rarity awakes to find herself cornered by a strange bipedal creature. At least it's a better way to die than timberwolves. That is, assuming the creature is even hostile.

This is a short story snippet I wrote in my free-time to get it out of my system. And yes, the Greek on the cover image is real Greek that actually says something.

When Rarity returns from a welcome party for Twilight, she finds a mare sleeping on the street. She shows what means to be the bearer of the Element of Generosity, allowing the poor mare to stay with her. In that time, Rarity will discover two things from the mare.

This story takes place immediately after my first story Love me... I mean, if that's ok with you. It's not a direct sequel. Don't like F/F, don't read. But if you are like "Don't tell me what to do!" Then go ahead.

In many ways, Rarity is still trying to settle back into Ponyville life. Her first moons after dropping out of boarding school have been hectic: preparing for that now-passed first trade show, opening the Boutique. She's been completely out of the gossip circuit and doesn't know what she missed for events, scandal -- and new arrivals. She and Pinkie have spent years with neither knowing the other existed.

As if that was going to last.

(Part of the Triptych Continuum, which has its own TVTropes page and FIMFiction group: new members and trope edits are welcome. This story takes place shortly after the events of its prequel and while it can be read as a stand-alone, checking out the original piece might help.)

Ladies do not avoid their problems. If a lady finds herself facing down a lonely Hearts & Hooves Day, she should smile and gracefully accept her lot in life, patiently trusting that more enjoyable times are on the way.

A lady certainly doesn't chase a stranger down the dreary streets of Canterlot, even if that stranger does turn out to be the Madam Inspector of the Equestrian Games. Loneliness and creative distress are no excuse for wild behavior. A lady should know better.
