A star is born, in more ways than one, when Star Bright proves to Princess Luna that a new star type can exist. After being awarded the Gold Medal of the Canterlot Astronomical Society, the astrophysicist finds himself thrust into the national spotlight, pulling his husband in with him.

Silver Script, an aspiring author, wants to help him anyway he can, including writing his speech. As his efforts get turned down by the speechwriters of Canterlot Castle, however, he begins to fear that his husband's groundbreaking research may be breaking the ground between their relationship, as well.

Finding a solution means taking a trip to the magical land of Equestria, but Cloud might not like what she finds when she goes through the looking glass.

Princess Celestia has given Twilight Sparkle five books to report on. Little does she know these books have a powerful history. Hopefully Twilight can handle an ancient magic and make her mentor proud.

This story is a sequel to Flounce!

This story was written for shortskirtsandexplosions as part of Jinglmas 2017. It's probably not so much of a sequel as a spiritual successor to "Flounce!" And you'd likely want to check that one out for context. If, for some reason, you wanted to read this one without reading "Flounce!" (Maybe you don't go in for the smut - I don't know) you can just read that one up to the point where Flash awkwards hard enough to kill a conversation two rooms over. That... Was about where I stopped before writing this one (I don't go in for the smut - Shrug).

Mere weeks ago, Juniper Montage was a spiteful girl, a thief, and even—for a short time—a magical menace. However, Starlight Glimmer and the Rainbooms managed to reach her, and extend the hands of forgiveness and friendship. Juniper has been grateful for the second chance ever since, and eager to show that she can be a good friend herself.

While touring Canterlot High School with Twilight Sparkle, she comes across two girls in dire cinematic straits. Juniper knows she can help, so she decides to step in. However, in the midst of her attempt, her past—all of her past—returns to haunt her, and her self-esteem pays the price.

Now Juniper must discover for herself what it truly means to be a friend, while also fighting an angry, fearful voice in the back of her mind that continues to insist that she's not worth anyone's friendship... and keeps getting louder.

The transformation plague has been stopped, but its effects have been felt across the world, with a population of hundreds of millions of ponies now walking the Earth, contact with another world being made, and knowledge of magic being made public.

Unbeknownst to all, an underworld of human magi already exists, and has been lingering beneath society's notice for centuries. With more magic around now then ever, each of them plan to exploit this new magic by whatever means they deem fit, so long as they profit from it and survive the new world.

Scootaloo never had an easy life. Not only was she orphaned at a very young age, but she is also a pegasus doomed to never attain flight.

But her life changes forever when she meets Fang, an eccentric magician who is not what she seems. Fang keeps many secrets, but Scootaloo will soon discover that she too carries one – a dark and terrible secret, hidden away in her own heart. One that even she herself was not aware of.

As the two grow closer and more secrets are revealed, Scootaloo must find the courage to open her heart, learn the mysteries of magic, and discover what it means to be a familiar.
