Update: This story is being rewritten after long contemplation. I apologize, but I feel as though this story has made a few wrong turns in the creative process I shouldn't have permitted in a lighthearted romance narrative.

Spike is a dragon, currently in the height of his youth. He lives with a princess, works with the love of his life, and he couldn't ask for more.
Well, actually, he could. A lot more.
As his life begins to change, Spike finds that everything around him does as well, and he's damn set on finding out a better path to follow.

In 2161, the Federation was founded, making contact with several new species, their goal, exploring the stars, meeting new friends, and discovering new things. However, the worlds they've seen are only part of what awaits to be discovered. Admiral Wyatt, commanding officer of an Excalibur class vessel, U.S.S. Chestnut, have been called into battle against the dreadful Na'kuhl, a race bent on altering the timeline for their lost homeworld. Shortly after, though, they are pulled into a world with different physics, less-than-normal violence, and more than Starfleet could have even expected. Join the crew as they voyage further into the unknown, beyond the known universe, and into the more vast, wondrous, and most intriguing points of the theorized multiverse.

{NOTE: This story is set for teen because there is major violent conflict in space, minor on ground, no gore, however. This is my first story that I have made so far, some of the chapters may seem a bit lazy in the way they're made, so I may edit them sometimes, and new chapters will be posted at random, so keep an eye out for any new chapters I post. For one MLP fan, traveling to Equestria and living out life as a pony has always been the ultimate dream. When an experimental spell summons them in Twilight's Castle, that dream becomes a reality. The only problem is, the spell was only powerful enough for a week. The only way to become a permanent resident of Equestria is to find their cutie mark within that time limit; otherwise they'll return to Earth and never be able to return.

Finding one's destiny is no easy trick. Through their time in Equestria they'll learn more than they ever thought they could about themselves, other ponies, and what it takes to truly live in Equestria.

Rainbow Dash has no clue.
That's why she goes to see Applejack, who gives her some good old sound Apple family advice.
That's why she tells Fluttershy anyway.
That's why she tries to take Fluttershy on the perfect date, with some help and advice from her best friends.
That's why she realizes that you don't always have to tell your partner 'I love you' - you just need to show it, by doing your best to make them happy.
And if any of that happens to involve a long-awaited kiss, then that's a definite bonus.

You were the most ostracized student at Canterlot High School, all because of Sunset Shimmer. She spread rumors about you and even your closest friends abandoned you, never to be near you again. Ever since then, your grades have been dropping drastically, not having the drive to continue trying.

One night, you prayed to whatever god was out there for a way to change your fate, something, anything, to repair the damage done to you. Somehow, your prayers were answered as you now have the ability to "SAVE your progress", like in video games. With this power, you're able to make mistakes, go back, or "LOAD", and start over again, but to do things right.

But as the age old saying goes, "With great power comes great responsibility". When great dangers arrive at CHS's doorstep, it's up to you to undo the damage that isn't your own. But there will be others who will seek your power, and more importantly...

...Where did this power come from?

It was certainly a worthwhile ideal, but for Jason and his helicopter crew, living up to it was no easy challenge. With human technology and ponies' magic, their lives are constantly on the line for the sake of others, the weight of their credo, semper paratus, looming over them.

P.S. The story takes place approximately one hundred years after the Earth and Equestria made first contact.

The story inspired by "The Guardian" 2006 movie. I suggest you watch it.
