After being the most ostracized student at CHS, you wanted to be a part of something greater. Your pleas were enough for some unseen being to give you the power to "SAVE".

You were the most ostracized student at Canterlot High School, all because of Sunset Shimmer. She spread rumors about you and even your closest friends abandoned you, never to be near you again. Ever since then, your grades have been dropping drastically, not having the drive to continue trying.
One night, you prayed to whatever god was out there for a way to change your fate, something, anything, to repair the damage done to you. Somehow, your prayers were answered as you now have the ability to "SAVE your progress", like in video games. With this power, you're able to make mistakes, go back, or "LOAD", and start over again, but to do things right.
But as the age old saying goes, "With great power comes great responsibility". When great dangers arrive at CHS's doorstep, it's up to you to undo the damage that isn't your own. But there will be others who will seek your power, and more importantly...
A long time ago, there were kids in their teenage years attending a school called, "Canterlot High". Everybody learned there, made friends there, and lived their lives day by day.
One day, a wicked teenage girl named Sunset Shimmer came along and found everyone's deepest, darkest secrets and blackmailed them to do whatever she asked them to do. Very soon, she had all of the students wrapped around her finger and ruled the school with an iron fist.
The students couldn't prove that Sunset Shimmer did anything wrong, because she was always one step ahead of them and found several ways to cover her tracks. Life at Canterlot High became sad and miserable, no one believed they were safe, even outside the school's walls.
Once Sunset Shimmer took over, everybody separated into their own cliques; those who love to be active, the ATHLETES, those who care about how they look or what they wear, the FASHIONISTAS, those who enjoy theatrics, the DRAMAS, those who care for the planet and everything in it, the ECO-KIDS, those who make technology a part of their everyday life, the TECHIES, and those who enjoy music and making music, the ROCKERS. Nobody dared to leave their own cliques in fear of what Sunset Shimmer would do and preferred to protect themselves or others in their cliques, all they could do was stay out of her way.
Some say that Sunset Shimmer will never pay for what she did, some say one day she'll get what's coming to her, but all know that she'll rule the school until graduation day.

This is your life. This is your story. This is a telling of how you managed to survive Sunset Shimmer's torture...
You could hear the snickering a mile away and it hasn't stopped since you first enrolled in this school. The moment you came out of your 1st Period class on your first day, you could everyone mocking you for things you had no affiliation with whatsoever, you came to the conclusion that someone had started a rumor about you. You tried to ignore it, believing that it would pass the next day, but it didn't; the rumors kept getting worse, and anyone who had been your friend when you first came here had abandoned you for their own self-preservation.
Nowadays, you ate lunch by yourself, worked on school projects on your own, and even outside of school, no one wanted anything to do with you. Eventually, you found out who was causing you so much misery: Sunset Shimmer, the queen bee of CHS. You tried to tell the principals, but they didn't believe you, saying that Sunset's record was clean, meaning they had nothing on her.
You tried telling the teachers, but no such luck with them either, afterwards you just gave up and chose to live your life, no matter how hard it was. You didn't bother to tell your parents, because you thought that they wouldn't believe you either, so you didn't, but you could tell that they were on the verge of figuring out what was wrong with you. You weren't the kind of person that would contemplate suicide, you believed that was the coward's way out, so you continued to live.
You were knocked out of your reverie as one of the ATHLETES hip checked you to the floor.
"Oops! Sorry!" he said, condescendingly.
Everybody laughed at your expense as you stood up and walked away, still hearing the laughter ringing in your head.
The final bell rang as everybody got up and left the classroom, but you took your time to gather and organize your belongings before leaving. Unfortunately, this proved to be a mistake as a familiar, yet unwanted, voice spoke behind you.
"Ah, just the person I wanted to see."
You groan inwardly at your luck and turn around to face Sunset Shimmer herself, "What do you want?"
She gave a mock hurt look at your words, "What? Can't I just see my most favorite person in all of CHS? You wound me."
You scowl, "First off, I'm not your favorite anything. Second, you only come to me when you want something. And third, you can't be wounded emotionally because you obviously DON'T have a heart in that deceiving, yet sexy, body of yours. Now I'll ask again, What. Do you. Want?"
Now it was Sunset's turn to scowl, "...Clever kid. At least you catch on quick. Anyway, the Fall Formal is in a few days and I want you to...stay away."
"Fine."
She blinked, "...You gave up? Just like that?"
You shrug, "Not like it'll benefit me in any way, with my reputation, I'll probably just be humiliated more than I'll have fun."
Sunset stares, just stares, until she awkwardly coughs, "Good, good...glad we've come to an understanding."
"'Kay, bye." you quickly say as you walk past her.
You headed out of the school to see the last of the buses leaving the parking lot, making you sigh in exasperation, it seems you were in there longer than you thought.
"Looks like I'm walking."
After a while, you finally made to your home, where your parents wait for you. You entered the house to see your parents in their own recliner chairs, staring at you intensely.
"Why weren't you on the bus today?" your mom asked, demandingly.
"I missed it, had to walk home." you answered.
"And you didn't think to call us to let us know?" your dad asked.
You sigh, "I'm sorry, it won't happen again."
You began the trek to your room, but you were stopped by your mom's hand on your shoulder.
"Sweetie...are you being bullied?"
You tense up, but keep it so neither of them noticed. If you couldn't prove it was Sunset who spread rumors about you, how can your parents? Releasing a breath you didn't know you were holding, you spoke.
"...I'm fine. It's nothing you need to worry yourselves over."
You walk away, leaving them confused by your answer, but suspicious nonetheless, you didn't notice though. You just entered your room and went to bed...
SEVERAL HOURS LATER
You woke up in a cold sweat, having a terrible nightmare about Sunset and everybody at CHS. You look at the clock and notice that it's late morning, so late that the sun hasn't risen yet. You sigh, knowing you may not get anymore sleep tonight, and look out the window, seeing a sparkling, glittering star that outshone all the others, you knew this to be a wishing star. You crawl out of bed, kneel at the side of it, and not just wish, but pray.
"Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, have this wish I make tonight..." you close your eyes after you said that. I wish I had the power to change my fate.
Once that was done, you went back to bed and surprisingly fell asleep again, but this time it was dreamless...

"...Ha...ha..."
"Hehehe..."
"So...there's a fool out there who wants to change their fate, eh?"
"Hehehehehahahahahaha!! Fine then! You'll get your wish, kid!"
Suddenly, all the yellow sparkles, also known as SAVE points, in the Underground zoomed out of the mountain and into outer space, heading to a different world. The sinister voice chuckled in the darkness.
"Now, let's see what happens! I hope this kid is more fun than Frisk was!"
THE NEXT DAY
You woke up to the cliché sound of a rooster cawing from Sweet Apple Acres a few doors down from your home. You sat up, stretched, and prepared to get dressed...only to see that something wasn't quite right. There was a cartoon four-pointed star swirling about in your room, being the curious person you are, you reached out and touched it. Just then, a weird screen appeared in front of you.

"What the?!" you blurt out.
You try to calm yourself as you assess the situation; apparently, there's some sort of SAVE point in the middle of your room, but you have no clue how it got there. Maybe you have the ability to SAVE where you last left off? But that's ridiculous, you never wished for anything like—
...Wait.
Could it be that...
...Your wish came true?!
You now had a power that is unlike any other. And who knows? It might be useful, in more ways than one. Sure, you can't use it to reverse the damage Sunset did, but you can use it to improve your miserable life. With no further hesitation, you press "SAVE".

Once you did that, a necklace with an 8-bit heart at the center appeared around your neck.
"Sweetie! It's time for school!" your mom calls out.
"Okay, mom!" you call back.
Subconsciously, you felt the corners of your mouth tug at themselves, you think this is going to be a good day.
After getting dressed in your favorite clothes, you quickly ate your breakfast and head out the door to wait for the bus. Once it arrived, you got in and headed for the very back seat of the bus, your usual spot. Everybody seemed to have ignored you this time for some reason, but you weren't going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
The bus driver went through her routine and stops to pick up the other students, one in particular was a girl you had your eye on for a while: Trixie Lulamoon. She was one of the most prettiest girls in school and quite boastful, you knew you could never have her with your reputation and all, but that didn't make it hurt less. As she walked down the aisle, she noticed that there were no other seats...except the one next to you.
She slumped in disappointment and sat next to you, but turned away so she couldn't even look at you, making you disheartened. Your new power could only make you go back and fix things, not make people like you, so you chose to do nothing, not even strike up a conversation with her. After a while, the bus driver pulled up to the school and everybody got off, especially Trixie, who looked like she couldn't get away from you fast enough.
With a sigh, you stood up and left the bus, ready to begin another day at CHS, but hopefully it won't be so miserable this time. Your homeroom classmates spoke to one another as you headed for your own seat, silent as ever. The teacher walked in as Principal Celestia started up the school announcements, one of them being the Fall Formal that supposed to be the day after tomorrow, you just tuned it out, not caring as per usual. After homeroom was over, you headed for your 1st Period, the one you dreaded so much: Gym.
Coach Spitfire blew her whistle loudly, silencing everybody and all of them, including you, standing at attention.
"Alright, maggots! Today we're gonna be playing dodgeball! You'll be split into two teams! Boys against girls! Now get to your sides!"
You all did so, with most of the boys looking nervous as some of the girls leered at them from afar. You? You sat back and couldn't play because of your terrible grades. For a good hour, the game of dodgeball raged on until the girls came out on top, thanks to Rainbow Dash, the captain of every team at CHS. Once it was over, one of the students called out.
"Hey! We shouldn't let the loser sit out of an epic game like this!"
Everyone nodded and gained sadistic grins, except for Rainbow and Spitfire, whom of which were not comfortable with this idea. The class picked up a ball and turned to you.

You were surprised at this turn of events, first there was a SAVE file, now there's some kind of battle system? It's almost like your world had become a game of some sort. You take notice that the students haven't moved from their spots, so you theorize that this must be a turn-based battle system, and it was your turn.
You hover your finger over the FIGHT option, but ponder for a moment; do you really want to hurt these people? Sure, they teased and mocked you, but if it wasn't for Sunset Shimmer, none of that would've happened. You finally decided that these people are not your enemies, Sunset is.
With a changed mindset, you moved your finger to the MERCY button and pressed it.

You chose to spare the two, but they didn't accept your MERCY.
"Not gonna fight back, huh? Too bad!" the male said.
"We're gonna smash you!" the female added.
Dodgeballs suddenly started raining down on you and you began dodging them. You were doing well, but eventually, you couldn't escape the inevitable and got hit at least once. You immediately notice that your HP had dropped a bit.
*The male and female look at you smugly.

You pressed MERCY and spared them again, and once again they refused.
"C'mon! Man up!" the male complained.
"Fight back!" the female ordered.
More dodgeballs fell down and you tried your best to avoid them, but couldn't help getting hit a few more times.
*The male and female looked annoyed.

You spared them one more time, but they still refused to accept your MERCY.
"Don't you get it?! You're at our MERCY! We choose whether to spare you or not!" the male reprimanded.
"Yeah! Now stop chickening out and—" the female was silenced by a loud whistle from Spitfire and the battle ended, returning the area to normal.
"Enough! Detention for all of you!" Spitfire roared, making everyone groan and leave, you began to exit the gymnasium, but Spitfire stopped you, "You okay, kid?"
You nod.
"Look, I'm sorry that you had to go through that and that you had to miss the dodgeball game, but if you don't improve your grades, I'm gonna have to hold you back."
You nod in understanding and leave, heading for your next class, but not before you enter the restroom to do your business. Once inside, you see another SAVE point next to the sink. You reach out to it and the SAVE file appeared, you pressed "SAVE".

You entered one of the stalls and went through the motions.
After finishing up your business in the restroom, you SAVED one last time to avoid any...accidents. You were now on your way to class when you were stopped by two bulky ATHLETES.
"We heard what happened at Gym and what Coach said." the first one said.
"Heh, yeah, you being held back? That's rich! And the only way you can get your grades back up is if you pass today's test! Unless you got the answers, you ain't gonna pass!" the other added.
They both walked away from you, laughing all the while. Though what they said was hurtful, it gave you a crazy idea.
Hmm...if I can sneak a peak at the answers to the test, I could be able to pass! But, I gotta be smart about this, my grades have been slipping lately, so...I have to make it at least a B or C. And if I get caught, I can just LOAD my SAVE file. This plan is so crazy it just might work!
With a fist pump, you rush to your next class before anyone else arrived.
You are filled with DETERMINATION.
After making sure that no one was inside, you snuck inside the classroom and dug through your teacher's desk and found the test answers. You read through them and memorized each and every one, afterwards you put them back in their rightful place and got ready to leave.
"Ahem."
The voice makes you stop in your tracks, you slowly turn around to see none other than your teacher, Miss Cheerilee, and she wasn't very happy to see you.
"Detention. Now."
You slump and walk out the door, trying your best to hide your sneaky grin. Once outside the classroom, you pull up your SAVE file.

You press "Continue" and found yourself back in the restroom, with all the memories of what happened before you LOADED, now you were all set for the test. You left the restroom and encountered the ATHLETES again, though you tuned them out, you've heard this already, so after they left, you casually walked to Miss Cheerilee's classroom and sat at your desk, waiting for everyone. Once everybody arrived, including Miss Cheerilee, she began to explain the test and that everyone should do their best, then narrowed her eyes at you.
"That goes double for you," she called you out with your last name, making the students snicker.
You didn't mind it, you had this test in the bag. After the test was handed out, you got right to work.
You are once again filled with DETERMINATION.
As you left the room, Miss Cheerilee was in shock.
"I...I...how did...I don't..."
You frown, Maybe I was a little TOO determined...
Nonetheless, you continued on your way and stopped at the restroom to SAVE again.

After that was done, you left the restroom to see Rainbow Dash and Applejack arguing. You overheard them, saying something about a bake sale, you remember that; Applejack said Rainbow and the softball team were coming, but none of them showed up. You later learned that Rainbow arrived with the softball team on a different date, believing Applejack cancelled on her.
What should you do?
*Side with Rainbow Dash (Rainbow is right! Applejack's a liar!)
*Side with Applejack (Applejack is right! Rainbow's a traitor!)
*Neither (Can't pick sides, gotta try to resolve the situation.)
You make the sensible choice and chose neither side, you'd rather resolve this than pick an unnecessary fight. With your decision made, you walk over to them and try to calm them down.
"Hey, hey, hey! What's going on here?" you asked, pretending not to know what happened.
You let the two explain their piece, despite the fact that you already knew the story, but they didn't need to know that. After the two of them were done, you take a deep breath and speak.
"Okay...Rainbow Dash, did anyone tell you that Applejack's bake sale was on a different day?"
Rainbow tried to retort, but began thinking about it, "Yeah...now that you mention it...Snips told me that Applejack told him that the bake sale would be rescheduled."
"Ah never told Snips that, Ah don't even speak ta him, since he an' Snails run with Sunset Shimmer." Applejack replies.
At that moment, everything clicks into place for the two.
"She tricked us!!" they both shout.
You clap slowly, "Eureka, and now you're up to speed."
They still looked unsure about this whole thing and you sigh.
"Look, I understand that you two have been at each other's throats since Sunset Shimmer took over, but can't you girls at least TRY to tolerate each other until we get this mess sorted out?"
They looked at you, then themselves, and shook hands.
"Good."
The bell for the next class rings.
"Gotta go!"
You head back into the restroom to SAVE again so you won't have to go through this twice and go to your next class.
After the final bell rings, you began to leave the school until you noticed something at the soccer field; a new girl with purple skin and dark blue hair with a pink and purple streak in it, hanging out with the five girls who were just about at war with one another. Had she brought them back together? Either way, it was none of your business, so you continued on your way.
"Hey!"
You were called by Rainbow Dash, who was running to the fence towards you.
"You're the person who tried to help me and AJ, right?"
"Uh...yeah, why?" you ask.
"We're all going to the Sweet Shoppe to celebrate our friendships being mended, you wanna come?"
"Well..."
"Aw, c'mon! You helped us, right? It wouldn't seem right to leave you out."
"...Okay then."
The girls arrived and cheered at your choice.
"Just...let me use the bathroom real quick."
You run back into the school to SAVE one more time, but if you stayed longer you would've noticed the girls getting suspicious.
"Hey...that person's been using the bathroom all day today." Rainbow pointed out.
"Yeah..." Pinkie said, then gasped loudly, "I know! We never got that person's name!"
Before anyone could question you, Pinkie beat them to it, "Yup! But first, what's your name?"
You clear your throat, "My name is..."
You all got your drinks and sat at a table where there was a couch. After telling them your name, you and the girls arrived at the aforementioned Sweet Shoppe. While enjoying your beverage, you watched the exchange between the purple girl, whom of which you learned was named Twilight, and CHS's pretty boy ROCKER, Flash Sentry.
"I'm gonna go over there now." Twilight said, backing away until she hit the counter and rushed to the table, twirling her hair all the while.
"Don't even think about it." Rarity chastised, "You're already trying to get her crown. Who knows what Sunset Shimmer would do if you ended up getting her ex-boyfriend, too?"
Twilight rambled a bit before saying, "Ex-boyfriend?"
"Flash Sentry broke up with her three weeks ago," Fluttershy said, "I'm just surprised that something awful hasn't happened to him yet."
The pretty boy himself walked past the table and smiled at Twilight, who had a worried look when she spoke.
"Maybe she's just waiting until she has the power to do something really awful."
You raise an eyebrow, "What makes you say that?"
"Just a feeling."
"Hmm..." you hum.
Applejack brings up the fact that Twilight doesn't have the votes she needs to become Fall Formal Princess. As usual, you tuned them out, it had nothing to do with you, so began thinking about your new power. When you woke up this morning, you had the ability to SAVE, now at Gym, there was a battle system, could it be that you might be able to level up? And if so, do you have some kind of stat screen that you can pull up? You want to test this theory, but not with the girls or anybody else around, for all you know, you might be the only one who can see all this stuff.
"Uh, hello?"
You were roused from your train of thought when Rainbow spoke up, for some reason, all the girls were staring at you in curiosity. You blush in embarrassment as you were not used to all this attention on you. You awkwardly cough and address them.
"S-Sorry, my mind was elsewhere. What are we talking about?"
Twilight explained the situation in layman's terms and this time you listened. They were planning to use the old Canterlot Wondercolt ears and tails as a sign of unity to bring the school together against Sunset Shimmer and even going as far as a musical number at the cafeteria tomorrow.
"That...honestly sounds like a great idea." they all smile at your words, then you stand up and get to leave, "Let me know how it goes."
The girls were shocked by your dismissal, but Rainbow wasn't having it as she grabbed your arm, "Oh, no! You're not getting off THAT easy!" she smirks, "You're gonna join us!"
"Not a chance." Rainbow's gusto promptly vanished at your words, "I don't like having a lot of attention focused on me."
"How are you supposed to be daring and courageous with an attitude like that?" Rainbow asked, trying to look cool, but your patience was wearing thin.
"Maybe I don't WANT to be! Did you ever think about THAT?!"
The girls were taken aback by your sudden outburst.
You sigh exasperatedly, "Look, I've got things to do, I won't tell Sunset Shimmer or her cronies about your plan, but I gotta go, see you girls later."
You leave the shop and head home to SAVE for the day.
Night fell, and before you went to bed, you went to your personal SAVE point.

After that was done, you go to bed for the day, which was pretty good, despite the hell you've been through before.
You figured that Applejack had to have been lying, she had cut off ties with her friends for a long time now and she was lying to get Rainbow to apologize. With a look of pure DETERMINATION, you march over there and stand in Applejack's way, blocking Rainbow from fist swinging distance.
"Hey! What are ya...hang on...yer that loser! Why are you defending Rainbow?! She made ah liar outta me!"
You hovered your finger over the FIGHT option and pressed it without hesitation.

When you pressed her name, a different screen popped up and a bar flew by, you pressed it once it reached the center and all of a sudden, your fists started flying out towards Applejack, inflicting some major damage.

Suddenly, Applejack started throwing apples at you, you were able to dodge them, but a few got you and dealt more damage than those dodgeballs.

As you think about it, Rainbow was always a big headed showboat and always did as she pleased. So who's to say Applejack's not the one in the right here? With raw DETERMINATION etched on your features, you storm up to them and shield Applejack from Rainbow Dash.
"Hey! Why are you...hold on...you're that loser! Why are you protecting her?! She betrayed me!"
"Really? Because it looks like YOU'RE the one who's the traitor!"

Suddenly, Rainbow started kicking soccer balls in your direction, some speeding past you while some hit you, dealing more damage than the dodgeballs from before.

Once lunch started, you decided to steer clear of the cafeteria until lunch period was over, good thing you brought your own lunch, you knew to plan ahead today, but afterwards, you're going to apologize to the girls for your callous behavior. You pass by the cafeteria and see that everyone was having a blast, it makes you smile that the school is back together again, but disappointed that you chose not to join, you had a good reason though...right? Before you could think on it any further, you saw the witch herself, Sunset Shimmer, and her cronies, Snips and Snails, but those two were wearing the ears and tails while dancing to the song that was playing in the cafeteria.
"Take those off!" Sunset ordered and they did so with sheepish smiles, "I have something I need you to do." she then adopted a sinister smile as she whispered her plan to them.
Snips and Snails nod and run past her, but you narrowly avoid getting caught by hiding behind a row of lockers. You decided to follow them as they entered the gym, but just outside you found another SAVE point and held your hand up to it, this time it had some words to say.

Once that was done, you entered the gymnasium.
The door closed behind you, making a noise as the dumb duo looked in your direction, but you weren't paying attention to them, more so the gym's decorations; balloons popped, streamers ripped, and tables with snacks destroyed.
"Well, well, well...if it ain't the loser." Snips said, smugly.
"It ain't?" Snails asked, "Then who is it?"
Snips face-palmed, "It IS the loser, Snails! I was trying to be cocky!"

After you finished reading, scissors started flying towards you while giant snails started slinking to your feet, you dodged the scissors, but a snail got to you and lowered your HP by the tiniest amount.

You pressed Snips' name, seeing that his attacks might prove more dangerous than Snails', another screen appeared with a bar sliding across it, knowing that this is a timing thing, you press the bar the moment it centers in the middle, making your fist flying out at him and dealing Snips a huge chunk of damage...well, at least to him.

"Owowowowowow, OW!" Snips yipped in pain.
"Hey, that's my friend you're hurting!" Snails yelled.
The scissors and snails came again, but the former was slower and the latter was slightly faster, and you got hit a couple more times.

You turn to the source of the slow clapping.
And immediately you wish you didn't.
Sunset Shimmer stood with smugness written all over her.
"Bravo, kid, bra-vo." she said.
"You're not gonna get away with this, Shimmer!"
"Oh, I think I am." Sunset walked closer to you, "But you could be a threat, with the...battle system you just used."
Your blood turns to ice.
How could she have known? You thought you were the only one who could see this stuff.
"How did..." you stutter.
"Honey, I come from a world where magic is common place, and you possess a magic that I've never seen..."
You take a few steps back as she gets closer to you.
You immediately pressed FIGHT, this was the battle you've been waiting for and you weren't going to let it slip through your fingers.

Two giant smart phones came up from the floor on both sides of you and started sending texts back and forth, which said, LIAR, TRAITOR, BRUTE, HOARDER, GRUMP, those words flew at you and dealt a lot of damage.
"Hmph. I thought you'd proved to be more of a challenge, but it appears I was wrong." Sunset scolds.

The world returned to normal once more and Sunset snapped a few photos of the gymnasium before leaving. You know you can't beat her as you are now, so you have to find a way to get stronger.

You chose to think on this later, so you left the gym and SAVED before continuing on to your classes.
