Heads up, y'all! There is only ONE WEEK left for the Rainbow Factory Contest. This is a reminder that the deadline for entries is September 30th, 2021, at 11:59PM PDT!
Get those entries in!
As of late, https://pastebin.com/u/fetish-the-menace doesn't seem to have anything on it. Like, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I'm wondering why that is, and how it can get its stuff back.
Howdy. Quick update first; results are in for the Right Back At It Again contest, so I can get back to reviewing those now. Additionally, Krazy has been doing an AppleDash event; not a contest, but still worth looking at so I'll be taking a gander at a few of those as well. As for my own entry into RBAIA, looks like the judges put it in second place, which isn't too shabby considering I threw it together very last minute.
Onto the stories.
Hello. We're still waiting on results for the shipping contest, so I thought it'd be interesting to go back one and return to some from the Imposing Sovereigns II contest that I had previously missed, as well as one from another contest I participated in last-minute with this story. It tied for third place, by the way (pretty good going for three hours work). Both of today's stories are pretty good, so I'd recommend you
My friend equestrian.sen just posted a blog where he uses category theory (super-abstract math) to describe important ideas of literary device.
Almost nopony follows this friendly genius! Follow him now!
Howdy howdy. Still me, still here, still kinda miserable.
Think it's too early to be announcing new fictions? Got that thought in your head saying, "What in the world is this guy doing with his life? He hasn't even finished his first fiction! Isn't he backed up enough?"
Only one word can answer those questions: YEP
You are scientifically full of yourself.
BRRR! It's COLD now and it's only gonna get COLDER over the next few days- here in Chicago, we might be smashing records tonight and tomorrow! (School is canceled for the next 1.5 days!)
Got a two-fer for y’all today!
First up, Muppetz’s Catch and Release.
Y’all may have noticed that one, it was in the feature box. Technically not a not-a-contest submission, but Jetty does work for the EPA, so that ticks a box.
We all love seaponies (we do, right?) because they’re adorable.
Originally intended as an entry in the big sci-fi contest (but sadly not completed in time), it's a new long-form story from yours truly! I hope you all like it!
My computer may be gone, but my reviews shall ever remain. A new computer is en route in many, many pieces, but I am done wallowing in self-pity over the loss of my extended brain.
Time to get some reviews done. You folks have been busy.

As y’all probably know, ROBCakeran53 and I hang out a bunch, and as y’all likely also know, SuperTrampoline and I have collabed on a couple of shipfics. Some of y’all (especially Bad Horse) also know that sometimes I’ll fold like a cheap suit when called out on Fimfiction, especially if told not to do something.
Don’t get any ideas; I’m older and wiser now.
Just wanted to pop in and comment on what projects I am currently working on and what their present state is.
Getting There!
Travel insurance is a useful thing to have if anything bad happens to you. If your flights are messed up, if something goes wrong with the hotel, etc, it’s travel insurance that’ll get you your money back. Most importantly, it covers medical costs where you’d have to pay for that sort of thing.
But I’d be fine. Nothing was going to go wrong.
A lot went wrong.
I've been a mess for six months due to illness. No COVID-19 symptoms (yet), but I teach, so things are nuts.
Hay there, beautif—OH BUCKING TARTARUS THAT NEEDLE IS ENORMOUS
Let's talk recovery and wolf plans.
