Seeing as my story will be fairly long, hence why its taking so long, I decided to tide folks over with some of the creatures I made up. Whether they show up in my story or not it debatable. I don't know yet. But for now, heres my first batch: Seaponies of an alternate land!

As I'm writing, I'd like to share some thoughts on seaponies. Not the hippogryph/seapony magical hybrids, but the original seaponies that lived in the sea long before Equestria was Equestria. All headcanon ahead, so brace for impact.
Hippogriffs/Seaponies
Synchronicity by Sev is my favorite story on fimfiction that includes sea ponies and is one of my favorite novel-length adventures on the site period. It is a rollicking adventure story with a lot of great world building. A lot of details have been made obsolete in the years since this story was published, but that does not diminish my enjoyment of it one iota.
Well that's it then! After four years (almost to this day!) I am officially DONE!

I have finally completed Secret of Andalantis. Thanks to all of you who stuck all the way through, I hope you enjoyed this long journey despite all the delays and months without any updates. It had been a crazy few last week as I blazed through those last few chapters.

Ok, I’ve got a couple of questions for the Bronycon Bookstore setup, and the One Who Got Away/Drifting Down the Lazy River book I’m putting together for it.
First, should I use a real picture of myself or find something on the internet like a computer-generated face? Because I’ve got a face that was made for radio, and a voice destined for print media.
Subject says it all. I've got a seapony romance (Hey! Stop thinking that! It's G rated!) that I'd like to start publishing next Saturday, but it most probably needs some critical looking and pointing to fix some of my more dumb mistakes. I've only got little dribs and drabs of time over the next week (this weekend, I managed to get online for a half-hour, and this is it) so I thought I'd metaphorically cast my line into the lagoon and see what bites. In honor of this day, I got the wife a small box of chocolates, I’m getting you some shameless self-promoting story plugs, and I got myself some needed time working on cleaning up my older stories. Oh, and Iisaw put together a cover for my Bronycon Bookstore double-story entry, which I’m listing next:

I can’t remember who I was chatting with (either Ghost or Bad Horse, I believe) when I brought up the concept of three sons inheriting a barony, where one got everything to the east side of the river, the other got everything to the west side of the river, and the third one got smart and took the river, which was the most valuable.
And then Ghost or Bad Horse said “And it’s full of seaponies, right?”
Simply put, other than a little last minute top to bottom editing (hint, hint, to the editing team) I’m ready to start publishing Drifting Down the Lazy River, except for the cover art. I had promised Pen Mightier first crack at it, but he’s been offline for several weeks and I haven’t gotten a response back. Edited: I'm done transferring the story to Fimfiction right now, and after due consideration of the comments, I've decided to publish on Monday when the site traffic picks back up. So, 10:00 am CST, on 2/6, the twenty chapters start going up, one per day. Maybe two on Monday if I'm feeling generous, since Chapter 1 is a little short.

Just wanted to take a moment to directly confirm The One Who Got Away is getting a sequel, Drifting Down the Lazy River, in which a young orphaned colt with a talent for painting decides to get on a raft and float down the river to Baltimare, where he will seek his fortune as an artist.
Thanks to Pen Mightier and Manifest Harmony there is now a new cover picture for Drifting Down the Lazy River, showing Ripple and Turpentine sharing a little time together. Bask in the glory of your new piscine overlady of cuteness and the poor painter who has fallen into her nefarious flippers.
