It is two years since the return of Princess Luna, and Ponyville has been hit with the latest in a rash of disappearances that have stopped and started over the course of about ten years. The police are baffled, as no traces of the ponies has ever shown up, but rumors of a serial killer have been floating around the station. However, when a pony appears in the police station covered in blood, they find out that the rumors have more than a little truth to them, and that the horror stories have only started.

So, in an effort to rekindle her passion, she sends out an invite to several ponies, requesting them to join in a very particular game. When they accept the invite, all of the participants are pulled into their viewing systems and fall into a strange world. Luna appears on a screen telling them that they've been recruited into a real life video game by her and several other mysterious ponies.

With their gamer pride on the line, can the players figure out the identities of the other ponies running the show, and worse... beat them at their own games?

Chrysalis, the Changeling Queen, has taken her prize, unhindered by Equestria's precious heroes. Celestia is little more than another prisoner of war now. The Bearers of the Elements of Harmony are lost, and the Elements themselves have turned away from Equestria's plight. As the world they once knew begins to crumble, a single question is asked among the people as they look up at their fallen heroes.

There is no such thing as "miserably ever after," for someone will always be fighting for things to change. Hope doesn't die just because someone's turned off the lights. Truth doesn't vanish when deceit begins its reign, and Harmony can only shine brighter among chaos.
Even as this world falls, we'll work to build it up again.

Princess Celestia and given her one basic drive: to satisfy everybody's values through friendship and ponies. Most ponies assume that something is wrong with Ditzy Do's eyes. Theories range from a head injury to a genetic disorder to muscle damage behind her eye. The crueler folk suggest she's just retarded. Nicer ponies say it's just a party trick she never got tired of.

They're all wrong. They're all very, very wrong.

I discovered the truth one day in conversation with her. One eye would always look at me, and the other would wander. At least, I thought it was wandering. So while we were talking, I followed it.
