Following the Hearth's Warming Eve pageant, Twilight goes to Canterlot in order to research the historical events of Hearth's Warming Eve. However what she finds leads her on a journey across the sea and into uncharted northern lands. When she returns, she is visibly shaken and refuses to speak of what she saw to anypony. While over time she starts to recover, there are important questions left unanswered. What did she see on her journey and perhaps more importantly, what followed her back?

In an alternate, semi-futuristic, crystalpunk Equestria, the Six Imperial Families have ruled the land by proxy, dividing society by stature and establishing their dominion over the crown with their immense wealth and influence. The most powerful of them all, is the infamous Abraxas Family. With their monopoly on Lacrima, the crystalline power source of all Equestria’s magical technology, they have built an international multibillion-bit dynasty across the world. Follow the rise of Orion Abrasax, a lone human in Equestria adopted into House Abraxas and now heir to the family fortune; and Shining Armor, a dishonored former Captain of the Royal Guard, wrongfully accused and sentenced to Tartarus for crimes he did not commit. When ambition meets retribution, both man and stallion will embark on a venture that will shake the very corridors of power. Thrust into the dark, unforgiving world of business, money and politics, they will show Equestria that sometimes business can be personal... very personal.

Since before time immemorial, Alicorns have ruled over nearly every country in Equestria save for the griffon kingdom and a few other uncharted locations.

However, when the world needed them most...

They vanished...

Alicorn's soon faded away into myth and legend as hundreds and even thousands of years flew by..

It was at the very end of a long and gruesome war that something miraculous and unprecedented happened:

An Alicorn was born.

One month after the events of My Little Pony: Equestria Girls, Sunset Shimmer finds her life in the human world crumbling around her. As a dangerous new enemy begins to show itself, in the form of a powerful terrorist organization known as the Chrysalis Syndicate, Sunset finds herself with no choice but to return to Equestria.

Upon prematurely crossing through the portal, Sunset is arrested for her past crimes and brought to the Princesses. She finds a new mentor in Princess Luna, is reunited with a long-lost family member, and is sent on a mission that would redeem herself in the eyes of the Princesses and the rest of Equestria.

But everything is not as it would seem. Even now when Sunset has come back to Equestria, she finds herself facing great danger, including a sinister villain involved in her past. Will Sunset and her new friends be able to confront this renewed, improved menace?

The Equestrian Army is at war with a terror organization and the Princesses have formed an alliance with the gryphons and the dragons to stop the enemy. Twilight and her friends join the fight to protect their beloved homeland.

One can only hope they'll all return home alive.

Hearth's Warming eve has never been colder. But, as snow falls and ice forms, contrast appears in our trench. Not a blink, strobe, or flash; nay, the sun itself.

This story is in 1st Person. Why do we not have a 1st person tag on FimFic yet? It truly does boggle the mind.

Ever since Twilight has become a Princess, she has been more caught up with her studies and friends. Now Celestia has decided she is ready for her own army in the great town of Ponyville. She will need a Captain for the army but who will be right for the job?
