This time was one time too much. Not only Vinyl Scratch forgot another appointment - but it was Octavias very first performance on stage, with a large audience.
Now both of them have to cope with their breakup.

Will it be the romantic prince who dries the tears, or the power of party, WUBs, booze and loads of new friends? And will they ever be able to look in their eyes again?

The mane six weren't the only ponies attending the royal wedding the day the changelings invaded. This is the story of how two best friends, Vinyl Scratch aka DJ Pon-3 and Octavia, fought for survival and to keep eachother safe during the calamity despite being outnumbered and decieved by these clever monsters.

Inspired in part by DawnFade's "Vinyl and Octavia: University Days" and a picture I drew a while back.

Family is a word Octavia has long linked to emotional pain. And it is that pain that drives her music to the heights it has. For music is both easing balm to soothe, but burning salt that irritates as well, for Octavia has never allowed herself to heal.
Now, a letter from her Mother threatens to reopen barely scabbed wounds... but will her friend Vinyl Scratch be the key to finally bring closure? Or will new wounds open before the old one can mend?

Vinyl Scratch, also known as DJ-P0n3, is one of the most famous DJs in Canterlot. But lately, she's been feeling like something's missing in her life. And then a gray Earth pony mare shows up at her club one night...

Author's Note: I wanted to do something different with the Octavia/Vinyl Scratch pairing. In all the stories I've read, Tavi was the reserved, more quiet one while Vinyl was the party girl. But what if it were the other way around? What if Vinyl was the more reserved one and Tavi the wild girl? This is my attempt to expand on that idea.

It's anything but a traditional story when Vinyl Scratch meets Octavia and falls in love with the colt-loving grey mare. Vinyl can't explain it, but there is something about Octavia that has sucked her into love's arms. But with Vinyl's jealous ex in the picture, she can barely find time to think straight. Can Vinyl find the will to fight through an overbearing ex and somehow win Octavia's heart? Or will it all crash and burn around her?

This story is a sequel to A Drunken Night and a Cup of Tea

Vinyl just wants some time to drink a cup of tea and have a little snack. Unfortunately, she unleashes the oldest argument in British history.

“My foster sister just got here,” Lyra said. “Her name’s Vinyl Scratch, maybe you’ve heard of her?”

Octavia was about to say how ridiculous Lyra was being, and there wasn’t a chance in the world she’d have met this pony before, but for some reason the name did seem familiar to her.

With another night of drinks comes another visit to Octavia's house for Vinyl. The reasons for both are as they have been for the past while.

Despite the somewhat recent bad blood between the two, Octavia can't see somepony once dear to her suffer.

The trouble is, can she truly speak to one who is unwilling to listen?

A rather short one-shot of something that has probably been done before. For your reading pleasure, please just forget that Vinyl's eyes aren't red. They are for the sake of the story.

Newly-together couple Vinyl Scratch and Octavia have just spent the night out on the town. Vinyl blasted their favourite nightclub with major wubbage while Octavia discovered a new drink at the bar. Now Vinyl has to escort home a marefriend more drunk than she's ever been, and in her intoxicated state, Octavia says just a little bit too much.
