Every pony in Equestria knows the names Octavia Philharmonica and Vinyl Scratch. Every musician in Equestria knows and reveres their talent and most semi-jokingly complain that Octavia and Vinyl's relationship should count as a monopoly on musical talent. Very few know their early story, years ago when Octavia had only just left Canterlot Conservatory and Vinyl was... well, being Vinyl.

A trip to a pub, some drinks later, and an open time slot leaves two mares stunned and awestruck.

Vinyl Scratch, up-and-coming DJ, is low on bits due to her drinking habits and expensive job/hobby. She is forced to live with Octavia Philarmonica, a young gray earth pony with an ash colored mane. They have almost nothing alike, and are constantly at each others' throats. Will they stay friends? Will living together tear them apart, or bring them closer together than ever before? Could it possibly spark something within them that even they didn't know about? Find out what will happen to the musical afficionados as they work their way through life living under the same roof.

Octavia has already accepted Vinyl's bisexuality. In fact, they 'flirt' with each other constantly. But what happens when Octavia invites Vinyl to stay the night? Will someone's emotions get the better of them? Will their friendship survive? Might it possibly evolve into something more? (No longer a Oneshot. Why? Because people are crazy.)

Vinyl's all but dropped out, but somehow she manages to hang on to a passing grade. Most of her motivation has to do with a certain Octavia, her best friend (inexplicably) and the fact that it's the best place to hang out with her. Vinyl loves seeing her at school and chilling while they do homeowork, but sometimes she just wants to hang out on her own terms, you know? Do something that's not, well, kinda lame. Or something. PBR isn't lame, right? Well, it is, but Vinyl is destitute and the convenience store down the street sells them at a bit for a pint... All's good that starts good. She's pretty sure that's how that goes.

When Octavia and Vinyl Scratch are paired up to write a song to represent the school in eqestria's annuel music competion, both sides clash. Octavia wants something elegent and classical. Vinyl wants her crazy up beat wubs. The pair can't stop fighting with each other. But will this contest bring them closer? And maybe... just maybe help the two mares discover their true feelings for eachother?

Octavia and Vinyl Scratch have been living together for nearly two years. What started as a job interview turned into a quirky but strong friendship that has left both members with firm understanding of each others lives - their lives since they met, anyway. The house-mates have equally grim and dangerous pasts, but how can these painful memories be tied up with Octavia's new found emotional 'itch'?

Vinyl Scratch is a connoisseur of music (and mares). She has a great job as a DJ, and fun co workers. But one day, she meets a talented Earth pony named Octavia, who intrigues her in more ways than one. And so, she explores her interest with this pony; she is not one to ignore her curiosity.

One big love triangle, with a few twists and turns.
Vinyl and Octavia find themselves living next to each other and they become best friends from a small age. After spending time together they start to develop feelings for each other then disaster hits. This is no ordinary love story.
