Rarity moves to Canterlot. Rainbow joins the Wonderbolts. Fluttershy and Twilight are shut-ins, to an extent. The friends remain so, but they have lost some of the freshness of their connection. Rarity, in her new home, invites all of her dearest friends to join her in the ancient city. Twilight struggles with her attraction to Rarity, long a secret, while another pony's plan comes to fruition.

In Twilight Sparkle's dreams, all her friends are turning on her. The nightmares are steadily driving her mad and preventing her from getting any kind of sleep. The cure may be found in Canterlot, or must Twilight find the solution in her own mind?

I'm labeling this dark because some of it gets a little intense, but there shouldn't be anything too off-putting, unless you're Twilight!.

Phoenix has failed to acquit Rainbow Dash, and after that, everything goes bad.

The Changelings have been defeated and Shining Armor and Princess Cadence have said their vows, but that still leaves the Mane Six and others with the issue of the strain on their friendships. Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash suspects something's wrong with Scootaloo, so she starts spending more time with her in hopes of picking the secret from her brain. As she begins to truly mentor the young filly for the first time ever, she begins to see the advantages to having a little sister.

And while all this is going on, Pinkie is struggling with some old family issues that have been brought to the surface, meaning she might have to confront her past at last.

Twilight Sparkle, a mage, must now figure out how to handle this science as she is thrown into a different world after saving her trusted assistant. Her magic gone, she learns from an experienced Alchemist as she goes off in search of the only stone that can bring her home.
