Twilight Sparkle lived a relatively normal life, right? She now had friends, she had Spike, she even had her cosy little home in golden oaks library... everything was going brilliant for her. As she finally got a day off she received a letter from the Princess that she was summoned... alone. Strange as it may sound, Twilight hadn't been summoned alone in many years but when she arrives she is surprised to see both Princess' with worrisome expressions, so why was the Princess of Night there? read and find out!

First things first: this is a different universe from MLPverse so some things will inevitably alter, be warned I will not reply to those with questions as to why some canon facts are changed because thus I have warned you of this fact it will be changed. Things are changing in Equestria, the ponies have decided they no longer need Princess Celestia to guide them. Celestia willingly stood down however and vanished. Unknown to Equestria she remains in disguise watching and wondering if her ponies are really ready... Oh, she's also experiencing what its like to care for a foal for the first time as well. Which will fail first Celestia's sanity or Equestrian Democracy?

One thousand years ago Princess Celestia was forced to banish Nightmare Moon to the moon to save all of Equestria, but what if Luna had been hiding something from her sister, scared of how she would react? But is it already too late, or will Luna be able to take the role she had so long dreamed of? The dream of being a mother?

Consequences, they come in all shapes and sizes for every decision. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. These words are lessons that Princess Celestia should know, bits of wisdom she practices in her rule of Equestria. How is it then, that when faced with a decision, she chooses the one that would inevitably bring the most pain? How is it that she couldn’t bear being recognized as the mother of her child? And why? Twilight Sparkle is about to find out.
