Early morn



The sun glared through the window down onto the mare that slept, "Spike! I thought I told you to stop opening curtains so early in the morning," came a muffled sound through a pillow, "Spike?" Twilight said once more before making a grunting noise, pulling herself up with her eyes still closed. As she sat up though she grabbed herself as she recoiled in pain, hissing at the aches and pains that shot through her, did I fall or something? remember... Finally the Twilight opened her eyes but only to find it to be really dark, "what happened to the sun, huh? What! my mane," she let out a small squeak in surprise. "Why is my mane so long... a-and these hooves, they aren't mine... there too long, what is happening?" suddenly it hit her, yesterdays events spill back through to her. She moved her bangs out of her face as she looked around her room.

The room was quite large and painted blue, stars riddled the ceiling, a map of Equestria in very high detail hung upon the east wall and next to it was a huge book shelf that was full of tomes and other such items. On the west side of the room was a door that opened to a balcony with a golden telescope, finally her eyes landed upon the dark black wooden doors that held an moon emblem upon them. Though she only just realized there was a night guard stood at attention in front of it, "Princess. It is good to see you are awake, Princess Luna and Princess Celestia are already in the dining hall awaiting your arrival for breakfast, if you so wish to that is?"

Twilights mind processed around two percent of that conversation... "WHAT!! d-did you just say, P-princess... to me!?" she said as she jumped out of her bed covers only to tumble over onto her face, getting up she stumbles to the nearest mirror only to scream in shock, a scream so loud it could be heard at the top of the crystal mountains, "I... I.. I have frigging wings! and my beautiful horn is... its longer, not to mention my mane, it hits the floor but my pink streak... its turned blue, its blue with little white twinkles in the stripe... WHAT THE FUCK!" today, for the first time ever... Twilight Sparkle said a naughty.

Walking over to the guard Twilight finally realizes just how much she has changed, she dwarfed the guard, for the first time she was the one looking down on somepony apart from the CMC and other little fillies and colts, this is weird. "So they are waiting at the dining hall then? I think it is time I got some answers as to why I look like this"

The guard made a quick salute, "Yes, right this way, follow me," Bolting around in a hurry to keep ahead of the tall mare nearly having to jog at the pace she set.


The doors to the dining room burst open as the lavender Alicorn came rushing straight up to Celestia wh was drinking some tea, "What happened to me!" Twilight bellowed to her new aunt, her chest moving in and out with anger clear upon her face.

To say that Celelstia was surprised at Twilights entry and shouted, directed at herself would have been an understatement, the cup in her magic shook as small drops landed on the table in front of her, "Well then my dear niece, its so good of you to wake up because I certainly am now," she said with a hearty laugh, after which she placed her cup down just in case there was any more surprises. She again laughed in an awkward manner at the sight of Twilight who at the moment was quite overwhelming.

Twilight snarled without thinking, "Princess Celestia! A few minutes ago I woke up, had grown a meter taller, gained wings and have an exponential amount of pain all over my body... explain. now!" Twilight said with anger only to recoil on those feeling as she realized she wasn't talking to some little filly who made a bad choice but Celestia herself, "I-I am so sorry... I didn't mean to raise my voice"

"It is quite alright Twilight, even I in your hooves would do the same if I woke up and all of a sudden my world had been warped upside down," noise came from the doors down the hall as a waiter came through them pushing a food cart, Celestia turned her head, "Ah, here is our breakfast, Pancakes and syrup, now how about we sit and have some breakfast whilst we await Luna's arrival, I am sure she wont be ling now"

Twilight looked around slightly, "I wondered why she was not here, the guard had said you were both here," Twilight said, Oh no, I stayed over night... I hope Spike is alright, "Wait... what do I say to Spike and the girls? am I going to have to move away from Ponyville?" A sad expression befell the new Alicorns face as she slumped in her chair slapping her face on the table letting a grunt out. "What next... I am related to Blueblood or something?" she said with her face still on the table.

As Celestia raised her fork to slay her first Syrup covered basilisk to gain its plunder she held it for a second, "Well actua-"

"Do not say it!" Twilight lifted her head so the waiter could put her plate down, "Faust this smells delicious, It smells different than normal... I always have this though," she said as the wait in her head grew slightly, something tugging at her magic, "What the? there is something heavy, I can feel it at the tip of my horn?"

The doors to the room opened up once again as the Princess of the night strode in, "All in due time my little star, we shall eat and then you can decide where you stand in the kingdom, just know that even if you have physically changed life hasn't, I shall not make you do something you wish not to," Luna said as her assistant walked behind her. Luna sat down, "There are many details to Alicornhood, one being the temperamental down sides but one adjusts"


Throne room after breakfast


The three Alicorns all sat around cushions that could hold there more larger bodies as a maid handed them all beverages, "Now my little star, Last night you had fainted before we could tell you more detail as to your birth right," Luna said with a smile that faltered slightly under the gaze of Twilight, "After we had placed you in a bed, myself and Celestia discussed the spells that were in place to keep your body as a unicorn and how if left in that state it would inevitably become dangerous to have the spell kept in place, it was already braking slightly as your magic grew"

Celestia moved to sit closer to Twilight, "When you were born, you had the horn you had as a unicorn but also your wings, when you awoke those many years ago I placed a sealing spell upon your body. It may seem strange for me to do so but there was a reason for me to do so, the nobles of society would question where you would have came from, even being the Princess would not stop my subjects from revolting against their Princess due to an offspring that suddenly popped up out of no where with no explainable bloodline that I could offer since Luna was still detained on the moon as a monster in societies eyes," pausing to take a quick drink, "What was even more so worrisome was your magic latent abilities, one thing that the public or nobles do not know is that even alicorns have limits, sure we have very... very large surplussed amounts of magic but we can become exhausted as you have seen during the invasion those few years ago. Now as to another danger was that when I checked your latent magical abilities and essence as an Alicorn I found that even as a foal you had such a strong affinity to magic, more so than Luna and I at the time of our prime, thus I worried somepony would manipulate you so I put you in the care of my old captain of the guard and his wife"

Celestia stared at her cup as the liquid reflected her concentration, she sighed before carrying on, "It was a brilliant idea at the time but soon I was visited by your foster parents, your magic would randomly spike out at random intervals, sending small shockwaves. With that knowledge I had to place a second barrier, one much more stronger but one that had to be regulated with my magic, during your foalhood I would come by often and check over the seal to make sure your magic did not overflow. Once you were old enough to recognize me though I had to alter my plans, I would send liquid essence of my magic for your parents to give to you, that worked until you pushed your magic to the limit at the time of your entrance exam. If I did not arrive when I did that day, untold damage and reversible consequences could have happened, your winged had appeared and you were much larger than a normal foal though the guards who had seen what had happened were silenced with bribes and such I had to think of another way to contain the spell, as such I made you my protege"

"I never thought asking your parents to put you in the exam would end that way but it did never the less, even if I were there I don't suppose it would have changed," Celestia said as Twilight listened to her through sips of tea, "It might seem strange to you but what I am saying is that a normal Alicorn... by our standards, when a foal has the amount of magic as a full grown unicorn but you had the equivalent of mine and Lunas put into one as a foal, we don't know if it is because you had slept a thousand years or some other reason but I taught you to control your magic as best as I could"

Twilight put her tea down, disbelief stricken across her features, "The thousand years might explain my magic amount but I do not believe I had that much power Princess, that just cant be right"

Luna cleared her throat to catch Twilights attention, as she turned the night Princess carried on where her sister left off, "It is true, you have power we wish we could attain... there have been many Alicorns over eternity, many in secret away from highly populated areas, all have exponential amounts of magic such as I and my sister but not one of them can compare to you my little star. Never has any Alicorn or other power in this world have such power, that is why we have to train your innate abilities with your new Alicorn magic, one such magic was as we released the barrier spell upon your body it connected you to your astral form. Do you still feel the tugging upon your horn?"

Twilights face twisted and turned as she searched the feeling in her magic, "Yes, I can still feel it, it is a very heavy feeling at the tip of my horn"

Luna nodded as she walked from her seat to the adjacent seat to make contact with their horns, "Now my little star, I want you to concentrate upon that heavyness, search for what pulls at your magic. Something is attached to you, I have the moon and your aunt has the sun in our grasps, find what you retain"

Twilight scrunched her face at the inconceivable thought, I have no idea what I am doing, how do I search for something that... WHAT!... WHAT!!! !What exactly am I seeing?" Twilight asked, still having her eyes closed.

Luna lent forward and placed her horn on her daughters, "My little star, this is your connection to your astral form, such as mine is the moon and Celestias is the sun in our solar system. Yours however is much stronger, you have all stars within grasp, define what a star truly is for me?"

Twilight thinks for a second before mumbling out, "Nalls of gases millions of miles away that emit energy in the form of light that can be seen in a nights sky"

"Good, good, but as you should know the sun itself is just another one of those stars. Myself and Celestia can only reach as far as our astral bodies into creating this system of eleven planets, only one of those eleven retain life. Now we were the first race to come to this planet and much like our parents before us who passed us these celestial bodies you have the abilty to regulate the planets energy that comes from the sun and moon but on a much larger scale, the whole galaxy bows in your magic, such is the duty of an Alicorn to control. You may not wish to know this truth but it cannot be ignored, you must be taught to control your abilities if you wish to gain a normal life, or so should you choose, a place at our sides as a royal. If you pick Ponyville I shall be saddened but that is your choice, all I ask is that you give me a month to teach you how to move your astral form"

Twilight released her almost trance and sits in silence thinking, utterly speechless at the realization of what her magic really is, "H-how can I just accept this, w-what would happen to my life in Ponyville, what of my adoptive family? Do I have to move here?"

Luna sighed as a saddened expression befell her face, "Although I would love if you could come here, it is your choice whether to go back to Ponyville but it will change, you cannot go back to your old form, many of the subjects around the world will see you as a new power in this world and flock to Ponyville, many of Ponyville will change in doing so"

"No! the citizens of Ponyville would not like that!"

"There is no difference whether they like it or not sadly, ponies see us as deities, other wordly beings that they look upon with awe," Luna said with a grim expression. "I never liked that fact but it stands true. There are two other options, one I greatly suggest to do and the second will be just as good for equestria. The first idea we had was for you to come here and learn to rule among us but after many deductions and more of Celestia convincing myself we thought to ask whether you wanted your own country, it may seem daunting at first but we believe you to be ready for such a role, many of the poorer states in Equestria and those with struggles could take up land and thrive once more, it would help greatly if you so choose this option," Luna said as Twilight gawked, looking about ready to faint once again but snapping herself back up to talk.

Twilight goes to talk but is interrupted by Celestia, "Twilight, you do not need to answer right away, decide after you have thoroughly thought over what you could do, I though think you could do wonders for civilization, you can already run a country as I know all those times you sat next to me in the throne room I heard your murmuring, you knew my next step before me. I had not admitted it before but I listened and on many occasions took your ideas as the best way to solve some of the problems. Not only that but you have grown so much in the last four years, many trials showed themselves in front of you, Nightmare moon, Chrysalis, Discord, Sombra, All these could not have been solved without your help. You resolved these problems with little to no help, with just your friends you have attained feats even we could not have done in your position, out of everypony in Equestria I feel you have the most ability to govern and rule your own country... As for anything that pops up such as the nobles who will inevitably try to weasel their way into your good books, we will solve those matters later. As I had said, think over your decision whilst you are here in Canterlot, at the end of your training tell us your answer, Now though I have a gift," Celestia stood and gestured for them to follow, which they did and walked into the throne room where Celestias, Luna's and Cadences thrones were, though there was something extra. "The Gold seat is mine as you know, the blue is Luna's, the pink is Cadences for when she is here," Celestia said as she rose the stairs, standing next to a silk covered throne. Her hoof caressing its arm, "This my dear Twilight, is yours so should you choose so, I am very sorry to inform you though now we will address the nobles of your Alicornhood before we address the Public, please take a seat," Celestia said as Twilights eyes opened in surprised before being ushered to her seat.

Twilight had been surprised at first but quickly became calm as she had been in these situation before, though it wasn't an easy talk, many nobles became irate at the discovery of Twilights true birth right. Most spat their proverbial dummies out and ranted for a couple hours before inevitably having to give up knowing they had no choice in the matter. All that was left was to reveal her to the public, though that could wait, they had to consider the consequence of doing so, thinking of how they would react.


After all the nobles had left the room, Twilight arched her head down as she let a big sigh release from the depth of her weary soul, "Erm... Princes-" she stopped mid sentence at the look of Celestia with pouty eyes, "I mean a-aunt Celestia," Not gunna get used to that any time soon, "Before we address myself to the public wouldn't it be wise to let my friends and Spike know first?"

Celestia smiled and turned to Luna, "Well that isn't for me to decide any more, Luna, what do you think?"

Luna turned to meet Twilights gaze, "Well, If we hold the announcement at a later date it would solve the problem, send a letter to your friends to come to Canterlot," Luna said as she rose from her throne, "As for now though I have to delegate some problematic queries that I am sure the nobles have sent my way. I shall see you later Twilight for your first lesson upon your Alicorn magic, I bid you both good day, Sister, My little star," she said as she walked off through the doors. 

Twilight stared at the door as it closed, gulping at the thought of her friends finding out her new... well new everything?
