When Rainbow Dash brings Fluttershy to the public pool for some fun, she notices that Fluttershy seems unusually nervous about swimming in the pool. To get her in the pool, Rainbow concocts a plan, but what could be Fluttershy's reason for not wanting to swim?

This story was originally written as an entry into the Quills And Sofas Speedwriting Artistic Interpretation Contest #59 on July 1, 2020.

The story was inspired by the cover image, titled Oops and created by DeviantArt user Yakovlev-Vad, who was kind enough to give me permission to use it.

Ever since Twilight blew back into Canterlot and insisted on becoming friends again, Moondancer’s life has been...better. Still not great, years of isolation can’t exactly be overturned overnight, but she is going outside more often at least.

One thing that is slow going, though, is getting her hygiene back under control. She had been doing the bare minimum for her mane and fur and unfortunately it was finally catching up to her…

That doesn’t mean she’s happy about getting a pity coupon. Moondancer is just going so she doesn't waste a gift. She doesn't really want to go. Honest.

Pinkie was not the happy pony she pretends to be, nor does she actually enjoy throwing parties or pranking, it's simply all she knows how to do. She was really terribly miserable, a result of her traumatizing home life and the lie she was forced to live. Ever since Rainbow stumbled across her and learned the truth, staying her friend regardless, she felt for the first time in a long time she could be happy.

Sadly, there is another who suffers the same way she does, and it's a pony she can't make happy, no matter how much she may want to or try.

Note: It isn't entirely necessary to read the first one to understand what's going on here, there is enough context and details given to get the gist, but I still highly recommend reading Fake Smiles first.

Yona and Sandbar have been a couple for quite a long time now, and are preparing to go on their first true date together. Both know that a first date means a lot.

Sandbar decides to get some advice from the only one of his professors to have any experience in romance and the same professor who helped Yona "Fit In". Meanwhile, Yona makes some last minute preparations of her own.

Unfortunately, he finds it to be a bit more "scaly" than he might be used to. It seems Aloe and Lotus have some insidious plans for him...
