Luna and Twilight are sunk into a fractured, feudal world, where the knowledge of magic is lost. Penniless and depleted, they're forced into playing by other ponies' rules, all the while trying to discover even where home is.

In this somewhat dark fanfic, an ancient evil is released, and twilight and her friends must fight it, without the use of magic. Together with her friends, she must find a way to fight the original magic user. The Mane six are the main characters, with Twilight leading the group. Without her magic, how will she fight the ultimate magic user? Is friendship truly the source of magic? Or is it something deeper? Something darker?

Now that Twilight Sparkle has joined the ranks of royalty, Luna feels the consequences of her thousand year absence more than ever.

She must befriend the mares of the Elements of Harmony in time to defeat Nightmare Moon and save her mother's kingdom from eternal night. The story, you've heard it before surely. Long ago there were two Alicorn Princesses who ruled the lands of Equestria.
One presided over the day, and the over bore vigilance for the night. They were wise and humble, and they loved everypony very much. But, love and tolerance could not stop the uprising. The ponies were victorious, the princesses fled and Sombra became king. He elected councils to divide his power across the budding "republic". If it weren't for Supreme Commander Sombra, the war would have been extremely one sided. He knew magics that rivaled the old gods, though dark as it was, it was the only choice, and it worked. The ponies of Sequestria were finally free...

It is a lie though. Sombra's courts and councils bow to his will, the public none the wiser.What he doesn't know, is that for 19 years, the Princess of the night has walked with her in her dreams, she will do as the Princess has told her. She will restore harmony and balance to her world... Through friendship...

I'm sure this has been done before.

This is my revision of Mlp, characters and themes are darker, taking place in a pony industrial revolution. This follows the life and times of a mare named Nightingale , her five friends, her loyal and ever over worked assistant as they try to handle the problems that always seem to conveniently present themselves at the most inconvenient times. I do plead, don't judge me on originality (or there lack of).

Princess Celestia has been the sole ruler of Equestria for more than a thousand years. Over those years, she gradually drifted apart from those ponies over whom she watched tirelessly. But now that Princess Luna has returned, and has begun to share the burdens of rule that Celestia has had to carry alone for so long, she is forced to come to grips with the isolation and loneliness that she has brought upon herself. Having kept herself distant from her subjects for so long, she turns to the pony whose friendly nature has already helped to save Equestria on multiple occasions for help and comfort.

This story is a sequel to Revelations: The Dark Void

Five long years ago, according to Twilight's math, she entered a plane called the Dark Void, a place meant only for the deceased. Each day, she scoured through the multiple books of her dream library, trying her hardest to find anything related to this realm of existence.

Sadly, none of her books have any mention of the place, so she begins to feel that escape is ultimately impossible. Accepting that she is stuck there, she goes to sleep and attempts to dream herself away from this world that she put herself in. For days on end she just sleeps her days away, hoping that one of her dreams will allow her to be free from this realm.

Only some of the dreams show a hint of sunlight; brilliance from somewhere out in the Dark Void.
