This story is a sequel to There is no Luna

Seeing Twilight disturbed worried Luna and looked into the reason why. What she found will shocked her to her very being. She will never be the same.

So, Nightmare Moon has returned, and with the Elements of Harmony back on the tree, Twilight decides now is the best time to test her alicorn power, and defeat Nightmare Moon on her own.

She will soon realize she just made a childish mistake, and pay the price, in the cutest way possible. But she will also learn some interesting secrets about history, and herself.

This is the original version of the first story I've ever written, over the course of three months as a brand new writer in late 2014.

I'm including these chapters here as a record of how the story looked when it began. This was the prototype for what would, over many years, become Black Feather. The story has gone through multiple complete rewrites, but this was the initial version. Enjoy reading my clumsy first steps into the world of writing!

This story is a sequel to Tears in the Snow

Four years since the long night, Nyx, now at the age of nine has been hearing voices calling her name at night, a looming shadow from her armor, a sense of dread hanging over her like a dark cloud. Nyx could feel the magic in her horn pulsating with a new aura, merging and fighting for control.

Suddenly afraid of darkness and of the presence that plagues her at night, the laughter of a specter that seemed to take pleasure in her torment, devours her dreams and fears. The mirrors themselves show a different face, and her friends have no way to help her.

Unwilling to bring this to Twilight, Nyx must battle with Equestria's darkest evil if she is to remain who she is, when two souls clash there can be only one to inherit the body, and Nyx is not ready to give herself up to Nightmare Moon.

Originally a midequal to Into the Beginning: The Life of Writing Glory with a different story completed before hand. This is the second version of this story, changed to fit the Tears in the Snow canon. This story was started on the 11th of October 2013.

To thank those who have helped her embrace friendship once more, Starlight has created an enchantment that allows the castle’s map table to let anyone glimpse other variances of reality.

The power to ask “what if,” can be a source of great amusement… but for some, the hypotheticals are haunting reminders of what could have been.

Nightmare Moon won. She defeated Celestia, broke the Elements, banished the sun. This all happened a very long time ago. So long ago, that she has had plenty of time to change her mind.

For the past ten centuries, Princess Celestia ruled alone with a gentle touch, waiting for her sister to return from exile. Twilight Sparkle reunited her with Luna and banished Nightmare Moon away.

For the past ten centuries, Queen Solar Flare ruled alone with an iron hoof, accepting that she would never again see her sister after Nightmare's mysterious disappearance. Until one fateful day when she too was reunited with her sister, thought long dead.

But years later, when Luna discovers a tether of Nightmare Moon's magic in her mind, the veil is breached once more. What strange interactions will occur when the symmetry between these two worlds is broken?
