Jason has been in Equestria for quite some time and has lived countless lives. Some have been short, others have been rather long. No matter the length, they all share one thing in common. They all end in fire and flames.

He has spent centuries wandering the countryside, gravitating towards events. When whispered words of Nightmare Moon's return reach his ears, his feet take him to Canterlot, where what he encounters leaves himself and many others more than intrigued.

An idea that sparked a story. Immortality is an often used plot device with a Human In Equestria story, and I wanted something different, something new, something... fresh. Thus, the concept of mimicking the phoenix came to life, and from it, this story.

Exiled from Equestria, you flee to the last place in the world left for you to go: the exalted Crystal Empire. After many months of searching for a means to support yourself, you end up both homeless and jobless in the dead of winter in the frozen north. Then, on one of the coldest and harshest days of the year, Princess Cadence finds you, alone and huddling around a small fire, and she’s more than happy to take you in.

So come, share a tender moment with the princess of the Crystal Empire.

Alex Harper's life is one spent alone, until he's thrown into Equestria and, literally, crash-lands in Twilight Sparkle's library. In his search to return home, Alex finds that some of this land is much more enigmatic then he first thought. While some moments are spent learning about this new world and its inhabitants, others are much more eventful then what Alex expects. Then, there's that bitter hatred he receives from Princess Luna.

With trying to return to Earth, a psychotic businessman hellbent on driving him insane, and an alicorn princess that wants to almost stomp his bones into dust, Alex is going to have to be prepared for anything this world throws at him.

Dan, a young high school musician, is angry at a recent turn of events that has made him resent everybody around him. Rainbow Dash, the Ponyville weather team captain, is known throughout the town as the stubborn tom-colt who has rejected every stallion who has come calling. But what happens when the human-turned-stallion comes to town and steals her heart?

When the peace of the idyllic world of Cloudsdale is interrupted by rising crime, and a lonely office worker's best friend is mugged in the street, he finally decides that enough is enough. With nothing but his wits, a suitcase with personal effects, and years of experience in the accounting department of a large investment firm, he launches himself headfirst into the stupidest possible thing he could do - quitting his job, and waging war on the underworld.

Cricket Chirper is in trouble. He's a bit of a coward, you see: after getting his buggy rump kicked by six certain mares in Canterlot, he wasn't too keen on having to face them again. Well, when an order came down to attack Ponyville some time after the failed invasion of Canterlot, Cricket wasn't too keen on getting the tar beat out of him again.

So, he ran and hid in Manehatten. In other words, he disobeyed a direct order from his Queen.

Naturally, Chrysalis has a nicely evil, wonderfully sadistic punishment in mind for him...

These are the traits instilled into a Royal Guard in his or her training. These are also the traits of the Unicorn soldier named Aegis Barrier.

He wasn't all that different from the other guards, yet there seemed to be something not so normal about him. He always took matters into his own hooves if somepony else could not. On the day of Nightmare Moon's return , The Royal Guard had failed to protect their Princess. Aegis however, refused to fail. He arrives at Everfree where an injured Twilight was, where he provides his own assistance as a Royal Guard. After a change of events happen, he is ordered to stay in Ponyville to rest until summoned for further orders. Even though he doesn't know it, he's been added silently to their ring of friendship.

It's another take following season 1, I'm not sure if I should make it a one shot seeing as I'm still working on my other story. Tags will be added along the way.
