Five years ago, Nightmare Moon returned to Equestria and took it by storm. She imprisoned her sister in the moon, and Equestria fell into an Age of Darkness. She ruled with an iron hoof; her word became law. The Mare in the Moon became a grim reminder of what happened to those who opposed the new tyrant, and nopony dared oppose.

Except for one aspiring unicorn.

Twilight Sparkle, a mare shackled by the failures of her past, prowls the ruins of the old capital Canterlot, praying for a spell that can right what has been so horribly wronged. Buried beneath the rubble of the Royal Library, she finds a tome that might be the answer to her prayers.

A "Warrior of Sunlight"; surely he will be able to overthrow the wicked tyrant and restore Celestia to her rightful throne. Twilight can almost see the sun returning over the horizon. She just didn't expect this warrior to be so... jolly.

Set in Starlight's "alternate future" where Nightmare Moon reigns.

Anon is here and still very much on his bullshit. While he now has the run of his expansive property, not only does he have to assure his sovereign soil receives proper international recognition, he now has a flock of citizens seeking his guidance, expertise, and wisdom.

The Crystal Heart has been broken, and the ancient evil imprisoned inside has been released from the crystal prison, surely to wreak vengeance on those who had imprisoned her. The Mane Six are right on the scene and prepared for an inevitable fight to defend their homeland and loved ones.

Only for Luxure, the goddess of lust who was trapped in the heart, to give up almost instantly.

Very bewildered, the Mane Six question the supposedly evil goddess why she would do this.

Kind of my attempt at a deconstruction of typical MLP villain ambition and behavior. Also considered my return to trying to write as I've been out of it for a while.

Alternate Universe tag obviously for the inclusion of an OC, and the fact that "The Crystalling" doesn't happen in this continuity. Sex tag for minor sex jokes and implications.

The five-second war is over, as have four weeks of careful deliberation and discussion. All that is left is for Equestria's elected officials to weigh in on their changeling problem. That shouldn't be hard, right?

This was originally a PANIC! contest entry from 9/4/2020 in the Quills and Sofa's Speed Writing Server, with the subject being Sentimental Journey. It placed 3rd, which was nice. I cleaned it up some, polished a few words, and added another hundred or so for some context. It will be marked complete, but there's a good chance I might add a couple additional chapters as time goes on, however as it stands it's well enough alone.

The five-mile Mackinac Bridge, holding the two peninsulas of Michigan together, never ceases to amaze me. But after working as a maintenance crew member for many years, you never know what it’ll throw at you, especially when there’s something cuddled up inside.

This is another entry in my 24-hour fics collection, although it took me closer to four days due to family shenanigans and life. It still feels like a 24-hour fic to me.

A young man is fatally hit by a truck before his time and is visited by a presence that offers him a new life elsewhere. He chooses Equestria (as you do), asks for special powers (as you do), gets them, and exercises his right to use them. It's tough for him, you know, being the most powerful being next to the gods themselves when they won't just roll over and give him what he wants. He can overpower Princess Celestia AND Luna at the same time, of COURSE he has to be in charge!

Will he learn the value of restraint? Probably not, but this other guy's got a solution.
