Sunset Shimmer's life has been on the up and up. She turned from her past, made new friends, and is now passing the magic of friendship to others, including this world's Twilight Sparkle.

Which is why, of course, this is all just a mistake. Things got a little out of hand, but it's over now. So now they can just move past this. Why, it'll be a funny story to tell in a few months.

This story is a sequel to Dinner with Rose

After a dinner with Rose and a late night drunken trip to Sugarcube Corner, Sam wakes up from a nightmare with a hangover and more questions than answers about fitting in in Equestria. Luckily, ponies have pancakes and aspirin, which at least deal with the first problem. For the second, Sam's got a day off to hopefully find some answers.

At a tea party with all of her friends, Fluttershy returns from the kitchen to find her beloved Angel Bunny dead on the floor. Obviously, one of her friends must've been the culprit. That leaves Fluttershy wondering one very important question: "Okay! Who killed Angel Bunny?"

But maybe not for the reasons everyone might think.

Queen Chrysalis sees an opportunity to break up the Elements of Harmony before they spoil another one of her brilliant plans to rule all of Equestria. Twilight Sparkle has a lot of things in life: anxiety, a big brother, great friends, inquietude, loving parents, nerves, a place in Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns, staggering levels of magic, and uneasiness. (And an obsessive compulsion to categorize everything, but that’s not important.) What is important is that something new is being added to that list: a date.

Cloud Kicker asked her out, and it’s too late to back out of it. Plus, everypony is so excited for her, though that might just be because they were all worried she would never actually go out on a date. Now she just needs to survive the date itself.

That, and figure out why Rainbow Dash is acting so strange about the whole ordeal.

Starlight Glimmer awaits her punishment at the hooves of Twilight Sparkle and her friends.
