Once upon a time, on the not-so-magical planet Earth, there was a US Marine who signed up to defend his country. He was assigned to a fire team, the fire team assigned to a squad and the squad assigned to a platoon. Together they defended the area surrounding a Forward Operating Base in Afghanistan from insurgents. If only it were that simple.

When lone Marine is transported to Equestria he finds a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With no orders, no resupply and seemingly no hope of return, he sets out to find what brought him here, and why.

I've never been one for intro's so I'll just tell you straight off...

I'm a human, or WAS until that sack of crap discord sent me to this forest, fending for myself until Zecora took me to see her friends. It's all fine and dandy until they all start freaking out because I'm sooooo different. You'd think that such a pastel covered train wreck that once was a girl's painting canvas would be a little more accepting Nd tolerant but it's really not! I was lucky they didn't immediately run me out of town.

Long story short, I left and I'm gonna explore this place, apparently there's a number of rebellions going on so I'll have to be careful but I just wanna get back home to my family, and I'll do whatever it takes...

Conor is socially awkward which causes his friend Abner to constantly try to help him get over this problem. Finally giving in to Abner's wishes they leave for what was suppose to be a normal day at the mall, but that quickly transformed when they are transported to Equestria! They then proceed to live normal lives in Ponyville; owning a house, going to work, having relationships. However, while they live their new peaceful lives Discord's influence still lingers.

It's not very hard to hide facts for someone who lives forever; of course, a century or two everyone will still remember them, but with enough planning and organization, those facts could be forgotten and hidden away.
