Mort, also known as the Pale Pony (of Death), has been tasked to take time off from his rigorous duties of reaping souls. Seeking guidance, he is directed towards the town of Ponyville, to learn about the magic of friendship from Twilight Sparkle and her friends. All he needs to do is keep his true nature a secret. That shouldn't be too difficult...right?

Special thanks to Specter-Von-Baren and Pyrite Foolsgold for their help in proofreading and editing this story, as I really needed it. Additional thanks to Pilate, Chuckle5, Unimpressive Vagaries and Admiral Biscuit as well! Couldn't have done it without all their help!

Credit for the title card goes to Siansaar, AKA Carnifex.

Twilight Sparkle has always loved Celestia—as a friend, and a mentor, and something else as well. And she finally, finally found the courage to admit those feelings.

Celestia turned her down as gently as she could. That's what she thought, anyway.

But the night is still young—and it's a night for being wrong.

[Rated T for suggestive sexual content. This story takes place between the Season 2 and 3 finales. Additionally, I wasn't able to find the artist who did the cover art, if anyone knows please drop me a line so I can credit them.]

(This story is sci-fi, and somewhat different to regular FIM stories.)
Aneki's world was small. It was spherical, and it only took a day to gallop from one side to the other. She had been taught nothing existed outside the sphere, but she wasn't so sure about that. Perhaps her world was a bottle, a container in which ponies had fled to live. A time would come when she gained the opportunity to investigate these things first hoof, if she lived that long.

Friendship is Magic.

But sometimes, friendships can be broken, as was the case with Rainbow Dash and her friend Gilda. Now at the behest of Princess Celestia, Rainbow Dash travels to the North Griffin Confederation to try and make amends with her old friend.

But when an ancient ghost is accidentally unleashed, Dash and Gilda will have to work together to save the griffin town of Altenprow, before the town is devastated or they're both arrested by the State Security Ministry.

A Skitchverse story.

Dragonfly, a pegasus with little in her head and bugs in her heart, moves to the coastal town of Seahorse Bay to operate a creaky old inn left to her by her eccentric uncle. Friendships come easily to the filly, but her time in the Bay turns out to be far more eventful than she expected. Strange inventions, rogue storms and even real dragons await Dragonfly and her friends!

Destiny is a fickle thing.

Cloud Kicker had her life figured out. A cushy desk job in the weather service in a few years' time. Great friends. Good times. Loose mares. A mild amount of family and relationship drama along the way, maybe, if she was unlucky.

She'd never have guessed that her life would take a meteoric rise toward eternity after making a cute, purple librarian cry.

(Written entirely for laughs for AU Month in the Winningverse. I couldn't resist.)
(For those that reflexively downvote Winning stuff, comment instead! It's more fun to bicker. Ask Pinkie.)

Equestria isn't what it should be.

Celestia is a figure of distant mythology. Progress has replaced harmony as society's watchword. Progress born of spell, steam and gears. A dark corruption eats away at Canterlot and stretches out its influence.

In the shadow of the dying capital are scattered points of light. The selfless pink toymaker, caring for nothing but a smile. A unicorn noblemare feeding the ghettos. An airship captain who gave up wealth and status to stamp out injustice. They, amongst others, are thrown together by danger and flight, and find themselves gambling on a desperate bid to restore Equestria.

Twilight Sparkle, Apprentice to the Crown, has everything under control. With a sphere of knowledge ever-expanding and a range of powers ever-widening, her world seems smaller and smaller with every passing day. That is, until the day a terrifying vision of the future leaves her convinced that someday very soon, she will take the life of a dearest friend.

Rainbow Dash, the newest recruit of the Wonderbolts, lives in a world without limits. Made of blistering speed and unfettered nerve, she blows past every obstacle that dares to stand in her way. However, when the flight team's training regimen pushes her too far, Rainbow does something she never wanted to find herself capable of.

The Elements of Magic and Loyalty reunite in Ponyville. One must know the answers while the other just wants to run away, but both are on a collision course with a renegade mage desperate to save her imperiled sister, caring little for the consequences of her actions. As the Harmony Storm descends on unsuspecting Ponyville, the fabric that binds Equestria together comes undone, forcing the Elements of Harmony into a race against time if they hope to save themselves, their loved ones, and even the town they hold so dear.

Can Twilight discover the truth behind the Storm before her tragic destiny comes to pass? Will Rainbow surrender to reckless anger if it means the salvation of the innocent? Eyes in the shadows look on all the while, hoping to see the outcome of events set in motion 1500 years ago . . .

From the author of Lost Legacies comes a feature-length prequel made for newcomers and veterans alike.
