I am eternal, and death is my steadfast companion. The passing of each generation of my little ponies weighs on me; every one of them is a fleeting, irreplaceable treasure, a snowflake dancing 'round a fire. I want to save all of them; I have the ability to save a few. I have saved none.

High Style, Photo Finish's aide and famous stylist, was trying to have a normal day, but few things are normal when Cloud Kicker arrives.

This story is written as part of the Winningverse (which is why I don't go in depth into exploring Cloud Kicker's character). If you don't know why Cloud Kicker is the way she is, then go read the Life and Times of a Winning Pony. It is by far a better story than this one.

However, I'd appreciate it if you came back once you were done.

Blossomforth is fresh out of college and ready to take on the world. Sure, moving to Ponyville to get a job on the weather team is going to be a bit of an adjustment, but it's nothing she can't handle. Besides, Rainbow Dash seems like a fine boss. Everything is looking good for our favorite watermelon-maned pegasus.

Then she meets a pony named Cloud Kicker.

There are many wonderful, exciting and heartwarming stories to be told in the Winningverse.

This isn't one of them.

Cloud Kicker has fought her mother's killer to the death and ensured her family's honor was intact, but her cousin Star Kicker's role in the fiasco was far less noble: Her family-oriented idealism has left Equestria facing an unidentified threat with few avenues for answers. Now, she’ll have to team up with a few unlikely characters and be guided by a ruler trapped under a mountain of suspicion to find exactly who, or what, is threatening to invade her homeland.

This is my contribution to Chengar Qordath's Winningverse.

Huge thanks to Chengar for helping me wrangle this into something relatively cohesive (and for reining in my crazy nonsense), and many more thanks to both he and Comma-Kazie for creating such an in-depth and vibrant continuity.

Endless thanks as well to my editors and prereaders, without whom nothing in this story would be what it is:

This story is a sequel to π

After Twilight Sparkle made her biggest secret public much earlier than she'd originally planned, the lives of the Element-Bearers and their closest friends somehow managed to become even more complicated than they already were. Yet despite the flurry of all of the added activity this brings, Princess Celestia decides to undertake a particularly ambitious project: the reformation of Discord. She delegates the task to Penumbra Noctis, who, more than anypony else, can empathize with the draconequus' situation, and who is therefore best suited to showing Discord the magic of friendship. On the surface, it's a very reasonable plan.

Unfortunately, Discord has never had much patience for reason.

This is the fifth and final story in The Petriculture Cycle. Reading the first four stories, which begin here, is highly recommended.

Time Turner has a plan. Go to Los Pegasus, enter a poker tournament and win money. It’s a good plan if you intend to cheat your way to victory. But this tournament also has other ponies willing to cheat as well, and they’re not going to give up that prize easily.

Then there’s another wrinkle in the grand plan. Cloud Kicker is also on her way to Los Pegasus in search of fun, and she’s found somepony interesting to follow. Somepony she still hasn’t crossed off her 'To Bang' list.

Despite his objections, Time Turner will need her help; because Los Pegasus isn't an earth pony friendly city. The seats can’t be sat on, the storm cloud oven wants to electrocute him, and it’s a long way down if you decide to step outside.

Set in Chengar Qordath's Winningverse as part of The Cloud Kicker Fan Club and Winningverse Group's anniversary month.
