  • The Bookshelf of Decent Stories 35 stories A bookshelf for stories I came across that are decent and have Christian (or Christian-like) values, morals, and/or themes, but are hampered down by what I consider to be negatives (odd storyline and/or world-building, ‘mature’ profanity, horrible grammar, extreme violence and/or gore, subtle NSFW content, strange romance, and/or other things). With the end of the reign of the Two Sisters, Celestia and Luna decide to raise the sun and moon together in one final solar eclipse. Where it once represented the rebellion of the moon against the sun, it would now represent a display of stellar beauty where the sun and moon rise together in harmony. It would mark the transition to a new time of peace for Equestria, under Princess Twilight.

Too bad they forgot to notify Twilight about this. Or anypony else for that matter.

This will end well.

Huge thanks to Soaring for pre-reading and helping me get off my flank to finish this, and thanks to ThePeer for pre-reading as well!

Written in celebration of the last total solar eclipse to be visible from the US for the next 20 years!

Yes, I know it was a week ago. Yes, it's a skill issue.

Now with a reading by Lotus Moon

I really wanted to write a heartfelt Pinkie fic, since she is my favorite pony. So I thought of this.

Ratted Teen for mentions of self harm.

My editor, Griphongirl_Ellie and I wrote this together. I may know Pinkie Pie, but nobody knows her like she does. She helped me add some really good parts that really helped the story come to life.

Dedicated to my friends Sketch, Tomohiro, Bookie, Ellie, Mom, Fire Bloom, and Lotus Moon. You've seen me at my worst, but still love me despite me feeling like I'm not worth it.

Another thank you to Ellie for helping me write and edit this, along with adding the shading to the cover art. Love ya, girlfriend!

Cutting myself is the only way I can express my frustration and anger. The only way to say how I feel. It also feels like an addiction. The adrenaline is like a high so I just keep doing it, because the low feels unbearable.

Pinkie wasn’t stupid. She knew a lot of things about her friends, sometimes she pretended not to so that they wouldn’t be hurt, but this thing was hurting because she couldn’t bring it up without hurting her friend.

Two friends, one problem, and it seems the only solution is a hug.

EDIT 8-21: Thank you SO much everyone for all the positive feedback on this, it really means a lot to me, and it makes me so happy to see how far the story has come in the past few days. THANK YOU!!!

This story is a sequel to World of Ponies: The Rise of Change.

Three years have passed since Castus and his humans fled from Canterlot. In that time, they have grown and learned; living at peace in a wide open plain. But forces begin to move, that now push Equestria and the Humans into a war in which both sides are not fully prepared to face.

Awsome Cover Art is thanks to Sipioc and KickassKing. Thank you dudes, you guys are awesome. I'm honored that my story has inspired fan art :)

Set in the far future after Celestia and Luna mysteriously vanished and the sun and moon froze in the sky, Antipodes is the story of two ponies thrust out into the harsh new world on an adventure to uncover what happened to the world so long ago.

(I wrote this when I was 17. it's pretty rough in places, but i think the basic ideas i had here were pretty cool. it's got a good skeleton)

For Celestia's entire life, and time immemorial before, ponies have lived in three tribes. The magical Unicorn Kingdom in the far north moves the sun and the moon, the hard-working earth ponies grow food, and the proud pegasi of the Cloud Empire control the weather. They coexist out of necessity in a delicate balance of trade, although they have little trust or friendship for each other.

But now, the North is getting colder. Crops are failing, and the balance is crumbling. In the midst of the world's freezing, a sinister plan unfolds, spelling further disaster. Everything hangs on the precipice of catastrophe.

All Celestia ever really wanted was to be assigned to work on the sun control team, but her world needs heroes – before it's too late.

Pre-read / edited by Georg, Ceffyl Dwr, The Dobermans, Telepony, and Beltorn. Thanks, all of you!

In Equestria, there is a night, known as the night of long shadows. It was the night Luna's rebellion ignited a civil war between a race that had known nothing but acceptance and peace for a thousand years before. It is on this night that Princess Celestia handles Luna's duties so that she may make a solemn journey to a secret garden.

My Memorial Day fic.

Happy Memorial Day to all my brothers in arms!

Twilight Sparkle still thinks Earth, and Humanity in general, can be classified in black and white. A visit to two different, but very similar Normandy war cemeteries might help.

She also hasn't gotten around to reading up on our history yet.

Or so Tucker, international reporter and the first human to come in contact with Equestria, thinks. Hopefully she won't hate his species by the end of this.

A post-apocalyptic story about exploring ruins, the mistakes of another civilization, and memory.

No one must ever know,
This land where we must go,
They hoped and shared their love,
Yet death rained from above,
The scars of passing linger on,
Through empty husks and unheard songs.
Although they now live in my heart,
The truth still hurts...where do I start?-Twilight Sparkle
