Twilight loves Spike, her precious hatchling, treating him like a son. Spike, in turn, loves her as his hatch mother. But, sometimes, Spike makes mistakes. And mistakes have consequences.

The Apple Family gathers together one Autumn evening for a very special family dinner at Sweet Apple Acres, as part of a special family reunion organized by Granny Smith.

What makes it so special, you ask? Well, each Apple gets to bring one guest along to count as honorary family. All that matters is that they have a special connection to the one inviting them.

Granny Smith chooses Grand Pear, her one time business rival now trying to make up for lost time. Big Macintosh brings his mare friend, Sugar Belle, for her first Apple Family get together. Applejack invites Rara to take a break from her music career and rekindle an old friendship. And Apple Bloom (taking the advice of her fellow Crusaders) agrees to let Diamond Tiara come so that the filly can get away from her troubles for a while.

But what will these honorary family members have to say? And what will the Apples chat about around the dinner table?

Ever since the main six knew her Pinkie always had Gummy, but no one knows when, or how she got him. Finally on Gummy's second birthday someone ask the question everyone wants to know.

"So, um, do we walk back up the slide or... or what?"

And with that the ponies began their trek through Pinkie's party cave...

Gummy takes a morning to think about various aspects of life. He finds many questions and thought-provoking concepts, but is there a conclusion?

Pinkie Pie is now a member of the Apple family. Gummy is Pinkie Pie's pet. By extension, Gummy is now a member of the Apple family. Applejack isn't happy about it.

At her friends' insistance, Twilight is showing off basic spells...including a newly learned age spell.

When things go wrong, the Main 6 get turned into fillies, and Spike finds himself in a dire predicament trying to manage them while awaiting help from the Princesses.

Hilarity ensues.
