It's just been a few days since the friendship games, but something drastic has changed. The solar system of Earth isn't what the inhabitants of the planet are used to. Plus there are two teenage, high-school students, who control the most important objects in the sky.

Sunset Shimmer was going to visit Equestria for a while during summer break. She was ready to get away from the craziness that is high school, and ready to use some real magic for a change, as opposed to her empathetic magic.

Problem is, her friends catch wind of her plan, and beg to go with her.

Now she has to hope that Princess Twilight isn't going to freak out when Sunset tells her.

This is going to be fun!

I've seen quite a few stories of Sunset Shimmer going back to Equestria, but I haven't seen one with her taking her human friends with her. It seems like a good idea, but who knows.

Not that I'm trying to downplay the other stories, just I see a comedy gold mine here. Seriously, this is going to be awesome. If I can write it.

Twilight had planned to visit Sunset Shimmer and her friends over in the other world for a nice, quiet weekend, away from all the worries and problems associated with being a Princess of Equestria. Unfortunately, things rarely go as planned.

After an accident cuts her off from Equestria, Twilight finds herself stuck in the human world until the gateway between the two worlds can be fixed. Which wouldn't normally be a problem...

...If she wasn't still a pony.

Something's been bothering Sunset Shimmer for a while now.

How can there be a human version of Princess Celestia who's in her early forties, when Princess Celestia herself is thousands of years old?

The Rainbooms catch wind of Celestia and Luna's upcoming family reunion, and decide to crash it.

What they find there is...disturbing.

Midnight Sparkle never really went away, she just stalked Sunset Shimmer for a while. Now, a couple of hours after Twilight's incident Sunset has a magic obsessed roommate who insists on following her to CHS. Oh, and she will be attending class as well, Principal Celestia already approved the paperwork. It is going to be one interesting year.

Rated Teen for some light raunchy banter.

A tongue-in-cheek (hoof-in-mouth?) response to the fandom reaction following the announcement of Princess Twilight.

Equestria is a world rich with magic and power, and in such a world who's to say the Alicorn Princesses are not Gods? Controlling the Sun and the Moon, Guardians of Love and Friendship. They are benevolent forces that keep the world safe.

But even the Gods have higher powers that they must answer to. and after millennia the Wardens of Order have returned to Equestria, and after that has happened they have questions for the Princesses.

Power is a dangerous thing. The shadow of Nightmare Moon is long. And power granted can just as easily be taken away.

While strolling around town, Twilight Sparkle accidentally knocks out Derpy's contact lenses, revealing perfectly normal eyes hidden underneath.

So what else could Derpy be faking?

'One thousand years ago, superstition, chaos and the sword ruled. It was a time of darkness, it was a world of fear, it was the age of Ponygoyles!'

'Stone by day, flesh and friendship by night, we were betrayed by the Queen we had sworn to protect, frozen in stone by a magic spell for a thousand years. Now, here in Manehattan, the spell is broken and we live again!'

'We are the defenders of harmony! We are Ponygoyles!'
