After a rather painful wake up, Jackson Hail finds himself in a rather scaly skin. Just what is he? How did this happen? Where is he? What's with the quivering yellow horse thingy? You already know this answers, but let's come along with Jack as he finds out.

(Your standard Human in Equestria story, with some not so standard elements I hope. I came up with the idea after I saw that almost nobody thought of this. Please note that this is my first fan fiction, so, you know, the usual dribble. Also note that I have no idea as to what categories this falls into quite yet, so I'll be modifying as I go along. Critique is encouraged. And thanks for your time!)

Twilight is an intelligent mare, and always has something to say. But when a group of bizarre creatures shows up at her library offering life long service and devotion, for once she's at a loss for words. Which is too bad, because she'd really love to ask: what's a human and why are they so weird?

However events already underway in this strange, new magical land threaten to suck her in. Stuck in a body she barely knows, the luckless college student must face Equestrian society with little more than her wits and intelligence.

Unfamiliar surroundings, unfamiliar everything, really. Adaptation is key, ingenuity will keep you alive.

Natives that can't decide whether to like you or not? Okay. Survival in a new environment? Alright. Adapting to a new form? No problem. Blending into a new culture? ...maybe not so much.

Equestria and the other members of the United Lands are attempting to remove the dragons from their encroachment into Zebrica, but diplomacy is failing. While nopony wants a war, it appears that there might be no other option.

Captain John Mittal and the rest of the sailors aboard USS Wisconsin have some tough political and ethical choices to make. This isn't their fight, but can they stand by while the rest of the world prepares for war?

Retiring isn't always easy. Especially when your job title is Evil Overlord. Most of the time retirement from that particular position comes on the sharp end of an opportunistic hero's sword. But Damien didn't survive the past six centuries by playing by the rules. His retirement plans involve running. Running from his country, his continent, and his very universe to escape Fate's long reach. And what better place to run to in an attempt to live peacefully than the utopian land of Equestria?

With a simple spell she transforms her little pony self into a larger dragon and quickly realizes that she has no way to change back available to her....

Like I said, a completely standard Human in Equestria story. If you want something ground-breaking, look elsewhere.

The scenery of nature is truly magical. The wildlife, the forest, the vegetation and the ground only touched by nature itself. Harmony...
Harmony?... Well, the residents of this world are thinking a bit different about this place.
What's sure, one thing isn't the same. A creature, not created for this world, but finds himself quite familiar in this environment. Walking on his journey to find his way back home.
Carrying in his hand something, neither his nor this world ever saw before.
