It seemed so simple. An afternoon out with friends and the ones you love, but life is rarely predictable. It only takes a moment to throw someone's life upside down.

After an argument with Applejack, Rainbow Dash leaves Ponyville for half a year to go on an intense Wonderbolt training course, neglecting any feelings she may have had for the farmer. How will Rainbow Dash cope with the new secrets she returns with? Will she push Applejack aside on her return? Or are both girls willing to fight for what is merely hidden? (Pfft of course they are! All goes well until a certain rainbow maned Pegasus friend drops by that turns it into a long lonesome night of bickering,laughs,drinking and untold confessions that unfurl in a locked basement,with two mares and a supply of cider.

To say that the Wonderbolt's last trip to Manehatten was eventful would be an understatement. Spitfire broke her wing, met Rainbow Dash, dated Rainbow Dash, and a planned thunderstorm went out of control landing many ponies in the hospital. Now with Spitfire getting "promoted" to command of the Wonderbolt's Academy and Rainbow Dash on the mend from her own injuries, the two will learn just how much life can still throw at them.

Meanwhile, Soarin and Rapidfire must come to grips with their new roles as leaders of the Wonderbolts. Soarin doesn't know if he's up to the task, and Rapidfire doesn't know if he even wants to stay. All these trials and more await them further on up the road...
