The hill in the park was their favorite place to be alone together. It had memories attached to it, potent and benign in their own unique way. Maybe not always good, but meaningful; moments worth remembering and keeping hold within.

When there were days that piled up and saw their world become exhausting, they had a place to retreat. Theirs alone, and nobody else allowed. And always just when they would need it.

During Twilight Sparkle's first sleepover after the friendship games, she asks a question that opens an old wound.

The big game. All Sunset has to do is be the ringer and help Rainbow Dash win it. Easy.

But for all her athletic prowess, whatever seems to be bugging Rainbow Dash won't be solved just by kicking a ball around.

Rainbow Dash is dead, and Sunset has to fix it.

She is neither amused nor enthused.

Rainbow Dash gets the opportunity to offer her crush a gift.

Sunset Shimmer sits alone on Pinkie Pie's porch reflecting on her past actions and the scars on her arms that these actions left behind. Rainbow Dash joins her but is curious about what she's hiding underneath her sleeves.

After nearly destroying Canterlot High School and ruining the Fall Formal, Sunset Shimmer is already not feeling too chipper. Summer is coming, finals are looming, and she's got no one who can truly understand what she's feeling.

And then there's a complicated mix of emotions she has for a star soccer player...

Luckily, Sunset does have one old friend she can still talk to.

The Fall Formal sees Sunset Shimmer defeated and dethroned as leader of Canterlot High School. Desperate for redemption, she lacks anyone to turn to for help - except the five girls who's lives she tormented. Does she deserve help? Does she deserve friendship? Rainbow Dash seems to think so.

Meanwhile, Time Turner, a teacher at Canterlot High School, watches Sunset's progress from afar. But he too is desperate for redemption - but for what? Who has he hurt, and why? How is his story connected to Sunset's?
