At Sunrise’s belated welcoming party, Rarity and Applejack share how, after a brief breakup, they were reunited again.

It seems that after a careful analysis of the situation, the Cutie Mark Crusaders determined that the older girls’ personal lives were none of their business. They therefore made the mature decision to leave Applejack and Rarity to resolve their relationship however they saw fit, without interference.

Just kidding. They pretty much set everything on fire.

(Chronology Note: the framing device of this story takes place early in Season Five, but the story told by the characters flashes back to events in Season One.)

Luna’s nights are long, indeed. Far longer than anypony would ever believe. Such a burden would wear anyone down.

But recently, Luna has gotten a marefriend.

Said marefriend is a lucid dreamer, and has made it clear that Luna is always welcome when she dreams. As a result, Luna’s burden has become just a little lighter.

One night, Luna stops by at the end of her rounds and finds that Sunrise has a surprise waiting for her.

(Content note: I debated long and hard about whether to mark this as ‘Dark.’ I don’t consider it such, really, but have included the marker as a courtesy to those looking purely for fluff.)

Twilight invited Fluttershy to her and Sunset’s engagement party. But Fluttershy seemed uncomfortable about the whole idea. Ultimately, she declined the invitation.

Which hurt Twilight’s feelings a bit, but Twilight figured her friend had her reasons.

And, well, yes she did. But not any of the reasons Twilight might have imagined.

Everypony has something they wish that they could take back. A harsh word, a mistaken phrase, things of that nature.

For somepony as ancient as Celestia, there is one such event she can never take back. Nor does she wish to. Even though it meant being limited to what she could do to continue to safeguard her little ponies.

The cost was just too great.

Twilight finds out her friends are not what they seem...
Gore tag for slight mention of blood. It's so minimal, it probably could go without, but I put it up just to make sure.

There was a question... and Spike wanted the answer. The curiosity of it was gnawing at his little dragon brain like gerbils in a vat of candy corn. In desperation, he turns to Cadence for help, and she's more than happy to assist.

After all, it's just a simple question. What's the worst that could happen?

(Takes place prior to Season 1. Rated for scattered innuendo.)

Spike only wants things to stay the same. Time, however, has other ideas. He's going to need a lot of help... An everypony story.

As she and her friends work to find out what exactly happened, she will come to learn more about her past, her family, and her place in Equestrian society.
