So, I've had this tale in the works for a while. I think I started plinking out words on the idea around when I published Breakfast at Twilight's and/or Cadence of the Crystal Empire.

And now I'm back to writing, if slowly, and I hope to have the first chapter up soonish.

Cadence of the Crystal Empire is now completed and posted, its last two chapters now available for viewing.

As an aside, sometime I intend to write a story where somehow Twi and AJ visit an old & retired palace guard (or maybe Abacus)... and said pony very happily spends the afternoon embarrassing the crap out of Twilight by telling AJ about some of her hi-jinks as a young filly.

This is an origin story for several characters in my universe(s), setting the stage for later events both in universe and in canon. It does venture a bit further into horror than my stories usually go, but I think the tale and the characters call for it.

Cadence of the Crystal Empire was actually inspired by my love of the old Oz books. If you have read them, you may understand why I ultimately decided to add the Horror tag.
