When Twilight Sparkle becomes the new princess of Equestria, and starts to grive over the loss of her teacher, Things start to turned scary. Twilight and the other five personality start to change and a dictartorship is soon made. But a rebellion rises, the leader, Spike knows that he must end this madness in Equestria by ending his friends, crush, and even his only family.

When Twilight Sparkle discovers an old book within the Canterlot library she begins her search for answers on who the "Queen of Equestria" is. Turning to Celestia and Luna, Twilight learns more about the legendary queen, as well as Equestrias dark forgotten history, the origin of Discord, The Crystal Empire, The Changelings, and Prince Blueblood. The story of Genesis, War, and a Nation's history lost to time begins with Writing Glory.

This story is a sequel to King Sombra's Rise and Fall

An eon ago when King Sombra overtook the Crystal Empire with powerful magic, Princess Celestia feared that a malicious unicorn might threaten Equestria, too. Thus, she passed laws with the secret intention of preventing unicorn threats to the kingdom. She locked many powerful spells in the Canterlot Archives, took over magical education, and prohibited unicorns from raising the sun as they once did. Prince Blueblood discovers this and leads a revolt to establish a unicorns-only kingdom.

Often, when considering history, it is easy to dissolve it into merely dry facts and dates. Sometimes, however, the actual events, never written down, have a weight all their own.

For far to long, the vitally important role of educating our foals of the history of our nation has been delegated to Folk Lore and word of mouth, while the realities of the past have been documented, stored and educated only to the elite. It is therefore the intent of myself, the Royal Historical Society, and the Royal Ministry of Education to provide the common pony with access to a document that offers as full a history of Equestria as can be practically provided, which is the tome you now hold in your hooves.

Keep in mind that no single book cannot replace a properly structured and scheduled classroom on the subject, and while an Encyclopedia format would give a much more comprehensive narrative, the copious amounts of information would render the exercise counter-productive. As such, this book can only give what amounts to a summary of an abridged version at best. It is my hope that everypony who reads this gains an insatiable thirst for more. Hopefully with further editions, more knowledge can be included, along with a collection of tie-in texts that focus more closely on specific areas of interest.
