Into the Beginning: The Life of Writing Glory

Chapter 11: Her special day.

Two months since the declaration of war, Canterlot and The Crystal Empire had been in a state of cold war, training soldiers, preparing weapons and armor, Writing Glory had been receiving treatment for her sanity which will temporarily heal her mind. To ensure Canterlot will not be attacked during this two month period Writing Glory put up a magical force field. The force field has given the princess intense migraines that healers have been treating the princess for. The crystal pony that came to Canterlot to give them information is waiting in the throne room. Writing Glory dressed in her princess outfit and with the Elements of Harmony on her head, enters the throne room and sits on the throne looking down at the crystal pony before her.

The crystal pony explains to the court that The Crystal Empire has double the army of Canterlot, and crystal weaponry that is unbreakable, totally indestructible to normal weapons. When asked about Shadow the crystal pony freezes, fighting his fear the crystal pony begins to explain what he knows about shadow.

"He just... appeared one day, clad in that red and black armor, long torn black cape, he had a symbol on the helmet and the chest plate looked like the face of a Unicorn but with wings, but the chest plate had a hole in the center in the shape of said symbol on the helmet, as if an amulet was supposed to fit into it. He killed the prime minister and named himself emperor. He renamed Crystannia, The Crystal Empire."

Writing Glory and the court are speechless, though it shows on the Unicorns, earth ponies, and Pegasais faces, Writing Glory has her eyebrows furrowed, and her mouth closed.

"Tell me, does his army have a weakness? Or does Shadow have a weakness?"

The crystal pony looks to his right to recall a memory.

"Yeah... his army wears crystal armor very heavy stuff, you can slow them down further with water and trenches. As for Shadow, I don't know any of his weaknesses. He is a total mystery."

"That's fine, thank you for this information."

The crystal pony bows and leaves the throne room as everypony begins discussing what to do about the situation. many Pegasus suggest bombing the Crystal Empire like Commander Hurricane did centuries ago. However, Destiny Charge being apart of the Canterlot guards for four thousand years, knows that a bombardment would not be a good idea, she thinks they should focus more on ground troops and tactics. Three hours later and everypony goes home, Writing Glory puts her princess attire in the room, and The Elements of Harmony on a pedestal, then goes to the Canterlot garden where Mira and Wonder Bolt are.

"Hello Everypony."

Mira runs up to Writing Glory.

"Aunt Writing Glory." She nuzzles Writing Glory who nuzzles back.

"Hello sweetie, I'm free for the rest of the day, we can play if you want." she smiles.

"Can we play hoof ball?"

Writing Glory nods. "Okay."

Mira jumps up. "Yay! I'll go set up the goal and find a ball." Mira runs off.

Writing Glory chuckles and looks at Wonder Bolt.

"Do you think this war will be over soon? it's been 7 weeks since our troops left canterlot for Ghastly Valley."

"The war is estimated to end within a years time, don't worry Wonder." Writing Glory kisses the Pegasuses cheek making him blush.

"Okay, Aunt Writing Glory we're all set!"

Writing Glory looks in the direction of Mira and smiles. "Okay, I hope you're ready."

Clover looks out side from the throne room window and watched the two play some Hoof ball. Mira kicks it softly toward Writing Glory who softly kicks it back to the young filly. Wonder Bolt watches with a smile, secretly giving hints at how to beat her aunt.

"Wonder you aren't giving her hints are you?"

Wonder Bolt acts as if he isn't, "Who me? I don't know what your talking about."

Writing Glory smiles and rolls her eyes, Mira gets in a good kick and beats Writing Glory.

"Yeah! You won you won!" Wonder Bolt cheers.

Mira jumps up and down happily as Writing Glory smiles. Wonder looks over at the princess smiling at her as she smiles back at him with affection. Later that night at dinner, due to the politics and propaganda going about the Pony civil war, the princess has been going to dinners with governors and mayors and other politic related stuff, and it has started to wear on the fausticorns mind, she was growing tired of it. in the meantime, Shadow is constantly growing his army as well as looking for an amulet of massive power. Shadow goes to the map room to see where the canterlot army is. The map room doors fly open and Shadow descends the stairs as an admiral and a general watch in fear. Shadow approaches the map and looks over it, a group of soldier figures catch his eye.

"These troops are in the wrong place." Shadow looks at the strategist.

The strategist cowers. "I-I'm sorry Emperor, I'll fix it asap."

"Good." Shadow turns and walks over to the general. "I trust the solders have been trained to the peak of their abilities."

"They are fit for battle my lord."

"Excellent." Shadow turns around facing the stairs. "I wish to test that, have five of your best ponies face me in the courtyard in seven minutes. No later."

Shadow leaves the room and goes to the courtyard and waits for his challengers. The 5 crystal pony soldiers surround Shadow, armed and ready. Though the soldiers believe this to be a fair fight, Shadow has other ideas. Shadows horn glows dark red and 2 of his opponents charge him, both of them Pegasus. Shadow jumps skyward effectively dodging the attack, the Pegasi take a moment to look for Shadow but unfortunately they are both caught in Shadows telekinetic Unicorn powers and are thrown into the ground below, knocking them both unconscious. Shadow lands, a Unicorn and an earthpony. The earthpony jumps at Shadow only to be kicked away, sustaining wounds to it's stomach because of shadows boot spikes. Shadow then uses his horn to fight off the Unicorn, he is backed into a corner where the Unicorn constantly stabs and slashes Shadow until the sword breaks. To the Soldiers horror. Shockingly, Shadows armor is not dented, unharmed, and without a scratch. Shadows horn glows as he picks up a shard of the swords blade, he thrusts it into the Unicorns knee cap and breaks the unicorns horn in the process. The earthpony Shadow had kicked away before gets up in an attempt to counter attack though it was quickly intercepted as Shadow uses his magic to drop kick the earthpony sending him into the pile of defeated soldiers. Shadow then turns to his final opponent who is an earthpony. Shadow approaches the earthpony who forfeits the challenge. Regardless, Shadow picks up the last earth pony and throws him into the pile and cracks his neck.

"These ones are not battle ready, correct this, I will not tolerate failure nor will I tolerate useless soldiers." Shadow walks past the general and goes to inspect the army.

"Yes Lord Shadow." The General helps up his fallen soldiers as Shadow disappears down the hall.

Three months pass and the war had been raging on with Writing Glory forced to watch the battle from Canterlot and to send her troops to die from her thrown room for the good of Equestria, it broke the fausticorns heart. Guards usually stopped by Wonder Bolts home to recruit him into the army but Writing Glory always told them that Wonder Bolt will not fight. Wonder Bolt wanted to fight but was unable to do so as the fausticorn forbade it. Writing Glory spent much time with Blinding Flash and Mira Silverblood as often as she could but the flood of political dinner invitations and the amount of letters of apology she must write to families is over whelming, after months of having to see dinner invites, Writing Glory asks Clover to destroy and dinner invitations from politics and anypony who isn't family. Writing Glory clad in her princess clothing, walks to the the town square with Wonder Bolt. Once there they see the Prime Minister of Canterlot giving a speech about the war and that to win, Equestria must become an empire of its own, and conquer the other lands. The prime ministers words angered the fausticorn. She ran to toward the stage and jumped, spreading her wings wide to fly and land on the stage gracefully.

"Equestria will not become a military super power, neither will it become an empire. As long as I am princess Equestria will remain a united nation, we will not become a war like nation full of cruelty and hate, Equestria will forever remain a nation built on, Friendship, Love, and Tolerance. All of those attributes will continue to shape everyponies lives, and generations to come."

Writing Glories words captivate everypony present, all of them agree with the princess and stamp their hooves in a form of clapping. Wonder Bolt is even more captivated by Writing Glories words and can only stare at her as she delivers her speech. After Writing Glory returns tot he castle and said goodbye to Wonder Bolt. Wonder goes to a fashion store, started by Platinum four thousand years before in the shop district, Wonder enters the store the bell above the door jingles alerting the shop owner.

"Be right with you dear." the shop owner called from the back room.

Wonder Bolt waits patiently in the reception area until a pony identical to rarity walks out, though she looked like Rarity does in the present day her cutiemark was different, it was a Blue Cinderella like dress with a amethyst crown. her hair was long like sad pinkie pies hair.

"Oh Blinding Flash it's you, are you looking for something for your girlfriend? assuming you have one." she smiles.

"Haha, Hello Lilly Clearveil seems word travels slowly, I would like to commission something."

"Oh would you? and what might that be???"

Wonder Bolt looks down smiling for a moment then looks back up at Lilly. The next morning, Mira awakens Writing Glory excitedly saying it's her birthdays.

"It's your birthday?"

"Yes yes yes, I'm so excited Aunt Writing Glory."

Writing Glory smiles and gets out of bed, she walks toward a picture of herself and Wonder Bolt then slides the picture to the left revealing a hidden compartment which has in it, three large presents. The fausticorn levitates them out of the compartment and places them on the floor. Clover the Clever enters the room.

"Happy Birthday princess Mira."

Mira smiles. "Thank you."

"Now Mira, here are your presents, go on open them." Writing Glory encourages Mira.

Miras horn glows, she unties the ribbon around the box and levitates the lid off carefully placing it beside her. She then pulls out a doll. Mira is over joyed, she opens the last two boxes and gets amazing presents. Mira jumps around happily and hugs Writing Glory.

"Thank you Aunt Writing Glory, thank you thank you!" Mira smiles widely as Writing Glory hugs back.

Wonder Bolt walks into the bedroom after just arriving wearing his saddlebags. He looks into the room and enters smiling.

"Wonder Bolt it's my birthday!" Mira waves at Wonder, and he waves back.

"I got a present for you." Wonder puts his saddle bags down and opens up the left one and pulls out a princess outfit which makes Mira the happiest filly in Equestria.

Writing Glory smiles widely at Wonder, and he smiles back.

"Could I talk to you in privet Lauren? I wanna ask you something."

Writing Glory nods and goes into the next room with Wonder Bolt.

"So what did you want to ask me?"

Wonder hides something under his wing.

"We've been dating for 8 months now and it's been wonderful, You are the most amazing thing to ever happen to me... every second of everyday you are on my mind. Though I have so many questions for you only one stands out among the others..."

Writing Glory is blushing, she stares at Wonder Bolt waiting for what he wants to ask.

Wonder bolt pulls a gold amethyst ring from under his wing. and presents it to the princess.

"Will you marry me?"

Writing Glories heart skips a beat then beats faster, she tears up, covers her mouth with her wings in disbelief and nods happily. Wonder Bolt places the ring on Writing Glories horn and kisses her and she kisses back. Afterwards they goes into the dinning hall where everypony is waiting to have some birthday cake. Clover notices the ring on the fausticorns horn and is the first to congratulate her on her engagement.

"Thank you Clover."

"You're welcome princess, so do you two have a date for the wedding?"

Wonder clears his throat.

"We were hoping to have the wedding before the war gets any worse then what it already is."

Clover looks at them and thinks. "I can organize the wedding, but it'll be ready in three days."

"Thank you." Writing Glory nuzzles Clover in a friendly way before sitting in her seat, and Wonder sits in his.

"Uh but I must know princess, do you want a public or private wedding?"

Writing Glory looks at Clover. "Private, only you, Destiny, Mira and the cakes my come to the wedding."

Clover smiles. "alright."

"And Clover, please have a seat and enjoy some cake."

Clover nods and walks over to the table and sits down, the group sings happy birthday to Mira.

Destiny Charge was on the front lines when she got the letter of invitation to the princesses wedding, she opted to quickly end the battle of Unicorn range.

"Alright everypony listen up! the crystal ponies have very little troops left, the Unicorn Range is almost ours, when I give the signal we'll charge the enemy and drive them back, or kill them all."

The Canterlot armies ready their spears, swords wing and horns but the crystal ponies suddenly fire a volley of arrow at the Canterlot army subsequently killing them all, except a few who were saved by Destiny Charges magic, Destiny Charge, and two other soldiers escape the battle field and make their way back to Canterlot, halfway there Destiny Charge vomits blood she had an arrow head lodged near her left lung, She collapses at the front gates of canterlot prompting two guards to run to the wounded generals side. They help the two other soldiers bring Destiny to the palace where she can be treated. As this is happening Wonder Bolt and Writing Glory are rehearsing the wedding. Writing Glory constantly blushes whenever she walks down that isle, she reaches Wonders side and they both look at Clover, Clover is about to say the lines when a Pegasus Guard bursts into the chapel.

"Clover the Clever! Your daughter has returned."

Clover appears happy at first.

"Shes been wounded."

Clovers happiness shrinks away, she, Writing Glory, Wonder Bolt, and the guard run to the castle sick bay where Destiny Charge is being treated. Destiny Charge screams in pain as the doctors attempt pulling the arrow head out, but every time they try the arrow goes deeper.

"Destiny!" Clover runs to her side. "What happened to her?!"

"Arrow head lodge beside here left lung miss."

Destiny lays on the bed writhing in pain slowly dying as Clover watches helplessly. Writing Glories horn suddenly glows, Destiny begins screaming in pain again as the arrow head is pulled out by the fausticorns magic. After a moment the arrow head has come out, Destiny takes deep breaths. The doctors clean the wound and stitch it up, Clover walks over to Writing Glory in tears and looks up at the princess.

"Thank you..."

Clover goes back to her daughter as Writing Glory puts the arrow head on a tray and leaves the room looking upset. Wonder follows her into the hall where Writing Glory is calming down.

"Writing Glory whats the matter?"

"I'll be okay... I'll be okay... " Writing Glory takes deep breaths.

Wonder walks up to his fiance and nuzzles her, Writing Glory nuzzles back.

"Wonder... can we put the wedding off until Destiny is healed?"

"I don't think now is the best time for a wedding, we can put it off if you like."

Writing Glory kisses wonder, then goes off to play with Mira. Mira is playing with wedding cake ornaments that look like Wonder Bolt and Writing Glory.

"Mira? those aren't toys sweetie."

"Sorry auntie."

"That's quite alright" She nuzzles Mira, and Mira nuzzles back.

"Will miss Destiny be okay?"

Writing Glory lays down beside Mira. "She will be okay, when she's healed we'll have the wedding."

"Oh, okay."

Destiny walks into the room. Writing Glory hears her and looks.

"Ya know princess, I'm more then okay to attend a wedding... don't change the date because of me." Destiny smiles. and Writing Glory smiles back.

Within hours all the wedding preparations are finished with the princess inspecting everything, and it's all splendid.

As the war wages on, Mira, The cake family, and Destiny Charge attend the wedding of Writing Glory. Wonder Bolt's family is also in attendance, The piano plays and everypony looks at the doors as they open, Writing Glory walks down the isle in a white dress, Wonder Bolt is wearing Clover the Clevers husbands tuxedo which would later be worn by Destiny charges descendant, Shining Armor. Wonder watches as his beautiful bride walks up the emerald steps and stops beside him blushing and smiling, they both look at Clover as she recites the lines.

"Mares and gentlecolts, we are gathered here today to celebrate the union of princess Writing Glory and Blinding Flash "The Wonder Bolt". These two have faced great hardships during the wake of the Pony civil war but their love remains ever so strong." Clover looks at Star Swirl the Bearded.

"The bracelets please."

Star Swirl the Bearded gives the bracelets to Writing Glory and Wonder Bolt, The bracelets are gold and have the image of a Pegasus facing and Alicorn sitting down on both sides. They put each others bracelets on, Wonder Bolt puts his bracelet around his left ankle while Writing Glory puts her above her right knee where her leg is thinnest.

Clover smiles at them both. "I now pronounce you, mare and colt," Clover looks at wonder. "you may kiss your bride."

Writing Glory launches herself at Wonder Bolt kissing the Pegasus deeply. Wonder Bolt kisses back just as deeply as everypony cheers.
