Just a quick little fic I made after the premiere of "Just for Sidekicks", featuring the popular character Kilowatt Hour from my "Shipping and Handling" fic universe. You don't need to read "Shipping and Handling" to understand this, but it might be funnier if you do.

I felt like such a nerd when I instantly knew that aluminum oxide was the ruby.
Every time I read Watt's dialogue, I think he sounds like Fenton Crackshell from DuckTales speaking really loud and REALLY fast.
*facepalms and laughs* Good stuff PRB but for me it falls a bit flat he doesn't just *tell* then why he needs it.
That was pretty fun. Nothing ground-breaking, but a nice bit of entertainment before the true sequel comes. I liked it!

Well, Megavolt has a very crass sound to his voice. Plus, his voice doesn't quite do well when he's speaking too fast. But either way, Watt sounds like a Disney Afternoon character.

OK, that does sound better for Watt than Megavolt's voice. On an unrelated note, was that the YouTube voice actor who does the unofficial voice of Derpy as far as the fandom's concerned? If so, then that's pretty neat.

Nope, the typical unofficial fan voice of Derpy is BaldDumboRat.
Our actor, Heathrin18, typically voice acts for other characters, but her Derpy voice is adorable so she got the part.

Yeah, that might've been a bad example, though, since I completely butchered that line. Heh. You got to hear a hint of it, but the final cuts of lines tend to be a lot louder and more energetic than that. :P

Pretty good for a one-off joke fic. Though if I have to nitpick, the scene breaks were weird in the way they looked like they were meant to just be a big line, but were too long and spilled over into the next line. Also "ok" should ideally be either "OK" in all capitals or "okay". Other than that, I have no complaints.
I'm surprised his nickname isn't Amp or Amperage.
2205229 Well, seeing as how when I speak (and I imagine him speaking in a similar manner), I'll usually get a "What." as a response, especially if it's a weird thing I say, then "Watt" as his nickname makes sense, because on the internet, "wat", "wut", and "whut" are all different 'shorter' ways of typing "what", and Watt has the same spelling (mostly) of the first, Wat. So, therefore, Watt is a perfectly good nickname for him. I wonder how nickname came to be a word in the MLP universe. Was there a pony named Nick or Richard?
This story makes sense to me. How could the CMC get such a huge machine for such a tiny ruby? Either rubies are ridiculously valuable, or they had the pony they got it from over a barrel. Still, if only he'd noticed the monitor used the plural at the beginning.

This fic has existed for how long now? Like a year and four months. And somehow no one's ever pointed that error out.
