I honestly thought Zippoorwhill's appearance in the show was very random, but this fic really makes me like and want her in the show more often! :D

I love how you took a character with, like, a minute of screentime and three lines, and then completely aced her personality and behavior.

Working with background characters seems to be my thing, most of the time. I don't know why. Other than my fanfic about Fluttershy, all my stories seem to star minor characters, background characters, or OCs.
Overall an enjoyable one-shot. Not particularly amusing as far as [Comedy] goes, but great as a [Slice-of-Life], and definitely a fun portrayal of little Zippoorwhill and Featherweight, with some deserved fuzzies toward the end. There'll be hell to pay for Snips and Snails.

The story's mostly slice of life but there are some funny moments here and there, so I kept it.

Nope, I'd check on that if I were you.
It's definitely Zippoorwhill, a reference to a bird species called a Whippoorwill.
I thought I saw on a Wiki that it was Zippowhirl.
But it doesn't really matter.
That was fun. Part way through I was somewhat wondering if this was a Shipping & Handling side story, but that went out the window once the multiple missing pets showed up, and especially so once the shaved pets showed up.
Those two....

Zippoorwill is adorable tho.
Very good story. Don't know much to write about it, had a few issues with it, but they were resolved at the end. It was a nice read.
Too bad there aren't more Zipporwhill fanfictions yet, I only found four here on FIMFiction.

This was certainly a charming little story. Certainly worth the like, and I think I will give you the favorite for good measure.
Good story. Though I sense you don't remember Snips & Snails very well. Mainly cause Snips is the small smarter one and snails is the taller orange one.
Still loved it though.
