Well, who can say. I know Cadence would rightly be hurt by the revelation, even if they are acting a bit out of character here for the sake of the story.
I see Shining Armor has the same weakness as Princess Ember. She too can't tell the different between pink pony and pink pony

So far so good. The story is great and the writing is excellent! Grammar here and there, but ultimately it's sucking me in for more.... much like pinkie pie. And there definitely needs to be moar!
Shining Armor is playing a dangerous game. There may be ponies who’ve already seen him and in a small town like Ponyville, rumors spread fast. This can’t end without some messy fallout.
I wonder if Pinkie will keep Shining all to herself (and I do mean all, since I doubt Cadance will getting much anytime soon), or if she'll share him with some of her friends to try and entice him away from his wife even further?

Read the last update, and I am loving so far. I wonder if Shining is going to be kicked or bard from the guard after the divorce, and be forced to become a baker like Pinky and create a business as his only avenue to carve out a live. I could imagine him losing all his muscle figure to grow out a fat pudgy frame. I wonder he would have to take on the family moniker of Pie in his Shining Pie Maybe, or an entirely other name to keep his real identity describe? I wonder how many foals they could have, I am tempted in just drawing all the different possible variations there could be. Looking forward to see how it will turn out, keep it up.
Well, Shining is only a Prince because he married Cadence, so he's out of the Crystal Kingdom.
He totally knocked up Pinkie Pie and she better make good on her promise of endless sex and foals.
As for Princess Cadence, she should find a stallion more suited to her speed of bland, "good guy" vibe. I'm certain she will make it that he's a pariah, and I fully expect fallout from Twilight Sparkle.
I do fully expect all will work out in the end, but it's obvious Princess Cadence only wanted what Shining Armor could do for her, it's obvious she never really desired him.
