The queen was right about being more interested in a wedding than anything. They never even paid attention enough to notice that she was being a bit rude and demanding. Truthfully I wonder if they would have made so many excuses for her if she wasn't a princess. And shining and Celestia should have been able to tell the difference between the two without appearances being the only thing that they saw.
If the remaining 5 along with S.A., Spike, & Celestia are found GUILTY, what do you think they're punishment will be?

My guess is that Celestia would be forced to step down. Shining Armor would be stripped of his captain of the guard status. And the remain five would be stripped from their duty as the elements of harmony, and will probably be banished from Canterlot.

So basically in one day, Shining loses his sister, his wife AND his status as captain of the guard. At this point, the one scene to complete this story is the common cliche of him at a bar, getting drunk off his flank from depression.

I know this sounds dark coming from me a true Fluttershy fan but i agree with the author Justice MUST be served they all deserve what will come to all of them. Right now after all i've read in this dark take of CW i'm siding with Cadance and Twilight!
I'm not Celestia fan so i may be a bit biase here but I think she needs a serious reality check this is now the THIRD time she damn near lost Equestria to a powerful enemy. She needs a hard slap in the face from reality that she is becoming very unfit to rule and relying on Twilight and the Element bearers to MAGICALLY solve all her problems when it comes to the fate of Equestria.
While I thought she forgave a little too easy every time forgiveness was needed especially Celestia who could ask anything of twilight even if it put her at risk and no questions or complaints about what was asked twilight really needed a backbone. Considering Celestia relationship with twilight was dangerous for the reason twilight could never say no to her and that isn't a healthy thing or even a good friendship thing. Friends should be prepared to hear no but they glossed over that as well as fair trials.

Anyone curious on if Sunset will show up later on? Considering Twilight is starting to head down a path similar to her with turning against Celestia and being against friendship, I wonder if Twilight may end up actually encouraging Sunset's vendetta against Celestia.
Heck, wonder too on Starlight since with Twilight not being focused on friendship, Twilight won't be able to help her reform. Kinda sad Sunset and Starlight won't be able to reform with Twilight's state.

Finally the flaw has been revealed. I know it a friendship show for kids but twilight and friends aren't children and Celestia certainly should have been on guard even shining armor thought everything was fine. The fact they abandoned her without a second thought was wrong. And the apology was terrible considering it sounded more like an excuse than.

Applejack’s really screwed up: If she had just let the others (which I think were Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie) go check on Twilight when they wanted to, it’s very likely that her disappearance would had raised the alarm and Twilight and the real Cadence probably would had been saved and the attack wouldn’t had gotten so bad.
But no. She kept them from going just to further punish Twilight. For what? For ‘being so clingy?’ Or for making a fool out of her and the others? Or because she wanted to please ‘Cadence?’
Either way, Applejack’s got a lot of making up to do. Not just to Twilight but to the others for convincing them to leave Twilight alone in her misery, causing Twilight to cut them off as well.

Sure, the others should had known better then to just follow her lead, but she was the one most adamant on leaving Twilight alone. And she stopped the others from checking, telling them to not worry about Twilight, when that concern could had prevented everything if they had just followed through.

Not to mention how despite the fact her kingdom was just attacked, she and the others just wanted to brush off everything and just go back to planning the wedding like nothing’s happened. No concern for the citizens or for Twilight.
At least Cadence was disgusted at how far they were willing to go supposedly for ‘her sake’ and called off the wedding, seeing there were more important matters to worry about. Hopefully now that every pony was denied the wedding, they will FINALLY start paying attention to what was going on around them rather then continuing to obsess over it.

Finally someone sees my point of view, yes I want Twilight to forgive her friends, brother, and mentor but I hate how easily forgiving she is especially when only Applejack was the one who said sorry for the behalf of the main 5, not even Celestia or Shining says sorry.
Twilight never wanted popularity, she never wanted recognition, she never cared about it nor did she wish for it, she never cared because the only thing she cared about was helping everyone, help save Equestria, help those in need, even helping her greatest enemies because no matter how much damage someone does, no matter how much someone hurts her, she always finds a way to forgive them.
But in this story, she can't handle being hurt emotionally, her friends, mentor, and brother abandoned her, they had a right not to believe her and I can't blame them for that, neither can Twilight because she accused the fake Cadance without any proof, but Twilight can still blame them for abandoning her, because that's the last thing friends do.
I wonder how many times she risked her life, how many times she sacrificed something, how many lives she saved, and how much of a reward she gets at the end of the day, although I guess I can't really say that, Twilight is completely selfless, she never cares about a reward, never wanting praise or bits or popularity, the reward she got by the end of the day that she is proud to receive is everyone being alive and happy.....under certain circumstances due to this story.
Interesting, I think I can guess why the next chapter is called "a new friend?" I'm gonna guess this voice in her head isn't talking to herself, or maybe perhaps A version of herself.

I love a powerful Twilight sparkle but not one of who isn't in control of herself, if my theory is correct I'm guessing a similar incident to Nightmare Moon will take place, when Twilight blacked out....who was the one controlling her body...?

Well this is a good story so far, hopefully things work out in the end, I hope there will be future chapters and this story isn't dead.
