I’ll try to make it as different as I can. I felt the idea of Twilight dying via bell explosion made enough sense. I wasn’t sure how else I could justify killing Twilight while also saving Equestria if that makes sense.

Because how it was written is very sad.
I mean, Twilight was pretty much the only reason that Starlight has a better life, and now she's been taken away, and would most likely fall in a state of depression.
I feel the exact same way as I do with 1Jckuhn Spike's Sacrifice story.
Absolute hatred towards Discord for causing all this in the first place because of an idiotic plan that makes no sense.

And let's not forget, that in this alternate version, Grogar is real and also had his magic returned to him as well. The bell was his and he could probably repair it and get his full powers back. Which means Equestria is still in danger one way or another.
And even if he can't repair the bell, he's still a dangerous threat and with Twilight dead and the true magic of friendship never learned, Equestria is doomed and it's all Discord's fault.

I’ll explain this later in the story, but his magic wasn’t returned. Once the bell was destroyed so was the bulk of Grogar’s power. Also, the Legion Of Doom put him in Tartarus while not really finding Discord a threat.

Death is a heavy topic and should be handled carefully. As it stands could've used a longer runtime.
I'm pretty sure there'd be a lot more nervous breakdowns at Twilight's sudden death.

This is how I see it, not necessarily how it would be.
“TWILIGHT!” Starlight cried out as she immediately rushed over to the unmoving body of Twilight.
This is good, shock.
“Twilight?” Starlight squeaked out, she was just worn out, there was no other possible explanation, “Twilight, get up.”
I think she'd know, seeing her dead and all, though I think you're going for disbelief.
“Twilight, this isn’t funny. You can’t be gone, I know you aren’t. Just open your eyes and wake up, please Twilight, PLEASE TWILIGHT!” Starlight cried out miserably,
Denial is okay here, but I picture Starlight more emotional after this point.
Here's where I'd think Starlight would be raging.
"WHAT HAPPENED? Why didn't you protect her?" She roared at her friends.(the mane 6) "How could you have let this happen to her?"
Starlight sniffed before smiling in hope, “I-I can fix this. I just need to heal her!”
Here you still have her in denial which is fine, but since it's a short id move onto the next stage, bargaining.
"Celestia, Luna, please, there has to be something you can do. You're alicorns, you can help her, right? Please, I'll do anything."
And as such you would have covered 3 of 6 stages.
