I’m torn. On the one hand, I don’t think Sweetie quite sounds or feels like herself, here, even if she’s older. On the other hand, I think the voicing you’ve given her works given the seriousness of the subject matter. I dunno, it’s weird.

oof, that explains Diamond Tiara reaching out to someone not in her circles…
glad they got through without something worse, but i sure do hate that i can even say that. (this is why i write even Equestria Girls as not quite 1-1 with our world because boy is our world terrible)
and it is extremely Diamond Tiara to just spring this on Sweetie Belle instead of telling her just what this outing was about at any time before this point. it just makes so much sense for her to do it this way from her perspective. really well-read on these characters, good job on that!
So I was originally expecting a misadventure but you, once again, lead on and deliver an expecting punch. There's a pattern. This one felt really fast compared to your 1.3k. That isn't a flaw, however, due to how impactful it is. The Karens at the door remind me of sharks that circle a water tank. They want to eat you so badly but assault laws keeps them at bay, so they keep circling having nothing better to do or think about. This is so oddly specific that something prompted this story other than the contest. Like, it felt personal. Rushed, like the situation would have been due to how heart pounding it was. Soft yet stark, a bitter sweetness... I felt for Diamond because it's so stand-out to be reached out. Reminds me of if my brother reached out. You're just paying attention for catches and yet incredibly intrigued on why they, your un-admired "superior" was paying attention to you non-negatively.
