Everything is awesome!

There were few things in life that brought Princess Celestia more calm than a stroll through her gardens. And after a long day of ruling, she decides to do just that. But, to her surprise, she finds a young colt hiding there, afraid to go out and play with his friends. When the Princess asks why, she learns that, just maybe, he could use some words of encouragement.

This was very nice. A good moral, charmingly written, and a very nice portrayal of Celestia. ^_^

One thing though--

Celestia titled her head.

"tilted," not "titled."

Thanks! I really needed a story like this. I keep judging myself for liking certain MLP and FNAF things even though I love them. You’re right in saying you shouldn’t care what others think as long as you like whatever you like. We should all just focus on what WE enjoy versus what society does.:twilightsmile:

I'm no psychiatrist, but isn't talking to oneself out loud a symptom of mental illness?

Thank you! Kids need to learn this lesson and parents need to teach them this lesson.

A very cute story, I loved it

The problem is when you start answering youself. (also he was talking to Sally, wich is different)

muttering to himself

If she came up on him(?) and she thought he was talking to his hooves, then I'd agree. But the context on this is pointing to some potentially serious problems.

I'd disagree about it being a serious sign of anything, mostly because a lot of people talk to themselves. Some people just feel like they process their thoughts better if they say them aloud when they are alone. Some people, particularly when they're upset, just work out their frustrations out loud. Heck, some kids play fantasy with their toys entirely aloud, narrating what's going on even if they're the only one to hear. It's not that abnormal, and definitely not a sign of a mental disorder.

Rationalization: The Post. But on a serious note, I've gone to school in four different states and the only ones who did stuff like this were in the Special Needs classes (which were thankfully kept separate from the main campuses).

Thanks for convincing me to read the story, upvote it, and put it on my “recommended stories” bookshelf.

This. Exactly. This is fact.

Hmm... Not sure I can agree with that on every case(Just because people enjoy Cigarettes doesn't mean they SHOULD), but with toys, yep, you hit the nail on the head. Faving, upvoting, silently plotting plagiarization...

10/10, would read it again.

Oh, of course, I agree with that too! We can all enjoy whatever, but we also have to focus on more important things as well like family, work/school,
and our social lives.

This was sweet!

Such a heartwarming story! Very cute and insightful. I love seeing Tia act as a mentor to foals.

This was adorable. Good show of Celestia as a motherly figure.

I'll admit that message feels a little meta though at the brony/pegasister level

I hate these type of feel good sentimental stories that teach bad morals.

The real lesson to teach children is "ghost in plain sight" meaning in social situations, you will have to pretend to be like everyone else if you want to fit in. Not that you can't express any individuality, but you have to feel out in social circles, what people want or expect at first. Good first impressions and all that. Once you've made a friend and meet someone you actually like and trust, THEN you can start to let your guard down and express other things.

Like, I'm a hardcore gamer that's spent 10s of thousands in almost a decade on gaming stuff, but even I'm self conscious enough to know that the vast majority of people would find what I have to say is very boring. Thank God for the Internet.

I'm glad you aren't a psychologist, then.

"Does she have karate-chop action?" the filly enquired.

All I could think of was...
