Or only Thom's values, come to think of it. There's no real reason for Celestia to actually let all these people join up, rather than giving each of them the illusion of simulated companions.
The story flows well enough, it is well written. I have a little problem with the premise: Thom seems a little...slow. Contacting people (?) over a PonyPad? I get the desire to determine if Celestia is so stupid that she would obviously and blatantly interfere with his 'challenge' of exchanging addresses, but I have a hard time imagining that a person would actually think her so incompetent. Then again, the suggestion is that Thom is, what, fourteen? If I read that correctly, I guess he's just an ordinary sort of kid. It is interesting that this is his 'job' - I wonder who is employing him.
On the surface, it seems like the most clumsy attempt to rebel against the Optimalverse ever. Maybe there is more going on? Maybe the trick is to try to fool Celestia into underestimating a threat?
I guess we shall see.
It's so cute how he implies here that his information gathering ability is immensely superior to Celestia's.

Hmm. I had 't given much thought to Thom's pony name, but two green stars come to mind: the GREEN SUN, twice the mass of the universe; and Ligier, fetich soul of Malfeas. The latter is beginning to seem appropriate of Thom will be serving as an extension of CelestAI's will. I suppose we'll have to see where things go from here.
