I don't have some really deep, philosophical reason for it. I just wanted to change things up a bit in this Alt Uni. And yes, Twilight definitely exists but she doesn't live in Ponyville and has never met any of the other Element Bearers.

You know what? I changed my mind. I went ahead and swapped out Sunset and put Cadence in her place. Her role was essentially a cameo anyway, so it won't seriously alter how things happen regarding Mac and Zecora. I didn't realize how much it would upset people if I left her out.
